Let's take his logic for a second : if for one criticism to be valid against his government, he says that it must be done with the same political conviction that his governement is based on. In that logic, it is simply impossible to offer any criticisms whatsoever because one must therefore necessarily be agreeing with what is going on beforehand, effectively making it impossible to criticize that political conviction and calling upon other political convictions to be silenced in a democratic system that values itself on allowing anyone to freely make a case. He's de facto saying that Hungarians are too dumb to make their own judgments and therefore the government must control 90% of the media to sort it out themselves because the poor little Hungarians can't judge themselves what they hear and see? It's good to see that at least the international media has the opportunity (sometimes) to ask tough questions from the members of the Hungarian government. It's quite worrying that words are beginning to lose their meaning, anyone seems to be interpreting them as he wants, while accusing others of doing the same! I believe that, if someone tries to put the various states / countries on a scale, from least to most democratic, he will indeed draw some conclusions. They may be partial, containing "errors", but there will definitely be some conclusions... And quite possibly, most of the people will agree on the basics.
exacly, no1 has democracy, what we have is familocrasy/aristocracy where specific families and their cycle rule our countries like they are their private businesses. That is something we all need to think about regardless of where we come from.
This guy is a liar. About 2 weeks ago. The director of a hospital in a town called Ózd. Gave a short Interview he said that the situation in his hospital is very similar to what happened in Bergamo a year ago. Hospitals are full other patients who are there not because of covid are not being treated properly or at all. THE ONLY REASON WHY ORBAN IS EASING RESTRICTIONS IS BECAUSE THE EUROPEAN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS SHOULD BE HELD A COUPLE WEEKS FROM NOW THEY ARE HELD IN HUNGARY AS WELL AND HE LOVES FOOTBALL. END OF STORY ( I know that this sounds crazy so this might not be the only reason ( other reasons being the economy, mental health of citizens etc). But to Orban football is the most important reason.
just for some insight: the Hungarian Healthcare before COVID19 pandemic was in a state where you had to bring your very own toalett paper even not to mention the meds and food for yourself, everything. The Hospital buildings are not renovated since the 80's. The medical instrument and tools are so outdated that most of them are made from single use material and they are re-using it until it brakes or even more if that possible. Now since Covid19 the situation has gotten far worse for example the gov made ultimatum to the doctors and medical staff via a mandatory contract which resulted with 5000 of them resigned and the list goes on and on wit no end.

@MrLaci0110 "Can care with the burden. It's carrying". De a masodikat mar joszandekkal adtam meg. A care es carry kozotti kiejtes kulonbseget leghamarabb Google Translate felolvasasnal talalod.
@MrLaci0110 I see what you want to hear just the words don't match to the interview. He surely knows how to tell 'care' and 'carry'. Just he told both in the written order for some reasons. It may be accountable to some sort of a mental overload as the next sentence was about how to care 'actually'. I was referring to Google Translate for you to double check the pronunciation. There just click 'Listen'. To say 'care' properly you have to emphasize the middle of the word. While for 'carry' the emphasis is at the end of the word. And native speakers really say it that way. That Google Translate is good. Now you can compare to the words he said. The first word has no ending like '..rry' while the second has a slight one. "Care with' is not an elegant way indeed but 'actually' (to use a word he used that Brits don't do so often) people understand it. It's a bit more advanced than a proper Hunglish.
@MrLaci0110 I know there isn't. Maybe you don't understand. This is the problem. That he's a Hungarian and speaking English on a wrong way with wrong words. Read my previous comment in detail as I described that he may told care instead of carry because of the next sentence. And no, I don't say it was intentional but unconscious. I don't understand how can someone not comprehend this. For your later allegation I'm wondering why do you think that. Can you post any example when 'actually' is used often by a native speaker? I've also found you something. Just switch subtitles on. It's auto-generated English. It translates the same way as I mentioned. 'care with' at first and 'carrying' at the second part of the sentence.
@MrLaci0110 Hi Laci, Any comments? Are you just silent or is it TH-cam that removes your comments? Are you OK with the translation of what Mr. Kovacs said?

Hungary seems like a great place. these lunatics need to back off. It is absolutely not for one country to tell another country how they live, Unless they want to go to war over an issue.
Respectfully. The cost of living is good. The country is Beautiful, although older. I'm impressed they did not cave to the pressures of the EU and they Protected there borders. He also noted that It is Risky to let massive amounts of unknown people into your county. Especially with different religion, culture, language, values.)

@MrLaci0110 Idk about other programmes on this channel. In here I heard questions from the reporter not a judgment.
Was qatar ever a Democracy 😂😂😂😂
They never claimed it was, Qatar has always been a Monarchy, what aboutism won't cover everything
No nobody has ever claimed that Qatar is a democracy. But that's not the case with Hungary. So there is no need of further debate in this topic. Thb i did expect a comment like this.
Are you dumb...it's an absolute Monarchy..they never claimed it as a democratic country .. citizens are subject to its country and King .and most of citizens are relatives to each other ...other are just tourists .

It's interesting and dangerous. Freedom of Speech should never be given away.
This interview is full of bullshit and propaganda against Hungary. First of, the opposition constantly demanded to open up. Now that they will do from May 23rd, it's not a good idea anymore. Just like the democrats in America, They just demand the opposite all the time.
Second, it's very ironic from anyone in the american leftist media to question the freedom of the press in Hungary. A DC judge recently said in the statement that America is on a fast way to a one-party government and the media is the arm of the DNC...
@@mezo72271 You must not live in Hungary because if you did, and watched the state media channels for even a minute, you'd know that this is bullshit. It reminds me of the North korean propaganda news from youtube. You are either a shill, live abroad or brainwashed.

Go strong Hungary! We belive in you.
Here its "you're either with us or against us", "we can only be right or be right, else it's a lie", there's no possible debate.
Mert aztán a telex, 444, HVG, 24 stb. a színes független, objektív stb. média nem tökugyanazt írja ugyanabban a kontextusban. Lenne belőlük még száz sem érne többet.

It's good to see that at least the international media has the opportunity (sometimes) to ask tough questions from the members of the Hungarian government. Its reason is sad though: they can judge the government publicly, because they don't really know what's going on in Hungary, therefore the government can mislead them with nice and friendly answers. An independent Hungarian medium could refute the speaker within a second, that's why the government never gives an interview to anybody outside its own media empire.

Demo- comes from Greek word demos, people
-Cracy comes from Greek word kratos , power
Can any state declare the power of people ? What people ? ;-)

But to Orban football is the most important reason.
nonliberal is not illiberal
just for some insight: the Hungarian Healthcare before COVID19 pandemic was in a state where you had to bring your very own toalett paper even not to mention the meds and food for yourself, everything.

The hospitals are just jokes as well as the education. My father is working in one of the biggest hospitals of Budapest and you wouldn't belive the conditions it is in. (Especially during the pandemic.)
The politicans always say that we have free will to say anything (freedom of speech) or freedom of the press... *little laughter*... but that's just not true.

@2:53 caring with the burden. Ez jo. Apolja a terhet. Grat.
