The bump is also useful for slowing down bodyguards or isolating them so you can get them easier like a bodyguard who goes into a room that is empty and bumping them over and over so that the target fails to realize what happen
@@VinTJ Unlikely. Players have been pointing this out ever since the first game of the reboot came out. Some weird mechanics you just learn to take for granted. Stairs have been 47's weakness for many years, many people have pointed it out over those years just how ridiculous it is that 47 can't do a quiet pacify, use a syringe or basically any item that isn't thrown, fired or remotely activated as long as he's standing on stairs. Or how NPCs randomly gain x-ray vision or grow an extra pair of eyes in the back of their heads. Or just how overly generous and un-cancellable the lock-on throw mechanic can be. Just try throwing something near an NPC on the ground.
@tadferd4340 ok, at least I didn't miss it like I did with Sniper Elite 4, just discovering you can use rocks to take out lights... after playing it for 4 years. 🤦
@@icepicjoey Yeah that change happened somewhat recently, after player requests. It's honestly mostly an extra feature for contracts. Doesn't really matter in the main game.
How about a guide on rarely used items with unique abilities? For instance, The Big One can set off propane flasks and ignite certain map-specific fires (asado on Mendoza, money bowl on Sgail...); EMP device can trigger many electronic interactions, serve as a tazer on puddles and even act as a coin for NPCs! There's quite a lot of niche stuff like this, very helpful to spice up your game experience.
@QueenSydon sure, here's some more stuff I remember: Red Tie Kiwi can distract 2 NPCs at once, though it's single use; Tasers are like electrocution phones for guards - place one on the ground, activate, guard tries to pick it up and gets fried; Breaching charges can launch objects across the map - tough to master and not very practical, but flashy nonetheless.
Let's not forget the bubblegum. A thrown distraction that works basically like a coin, but unlike the gold bar in the video, it's a sedative poison KO. Or the insanely powerful Serpent's Tongue that fires blinding darts.
Okay Heres Just a Heads up to some players For some reason weather this is a bug or if its a secret feature added in a recent game update but i’ve noticed that if you bump into an NPC too many times will turn them into enforcers
i finally could afford hitman because of the black week, i really enjoy your videos and i am happy you still upload a lot of hitman content, regarding the release being nearly three years ago
Great sharing. Dropping an item in front of an NPC to make them forget to investigate has saved me many times in Hardcore mode of Freelancer during showdowns.
Are passwords supposed to be found somewhere on locations? Looks like i'm the only person in the comment section who thinks that this whole section of the video is totally unnecessary. All other tips are advanced mechanics of the game but this one feels like you're supposed to find those passwords while exploring the location? Maybe i'm totally wrong because i only played through season 1 and 2 and never found anything that required a manually entered password.
Just to clarify, I did a test in a contract and when he said targets make you lose SA when sedated, slipping on a banana peel, or hit by a rake, he meant the ppl in red - not necessarily the main targets of the game like Dawood Ragan Sierra Knox etc. Ig the logic to this weird feature is that ppl expect VIPs to be targeted so they find it more sus when they drop to the floor, but if it's anyone in red then that's less realistic...
Regarding number 2, you don't have to drop a coin. You can just bump into them, doesn't matter from which direction. I'm not 100% sure that this is consistent, but it's good to know.
Great video! For newer players such as myself your channel is a godsend. After I play through a level a few times and do all the stories etc. I always see your videos where you make it look hilariously easy. Could you tell me how many hours you have in game? (I know that in reality you will have far more than just the hitman 3 hours as you played the other games when they came out) thanks
That's why I take a gold bar on every level! Though a suitcase can also both lure people and knock them out, and suitcases are free as long as you start in a suit. Another good item is the RFID explosive. You get a bomb, which can knock people out at a distance and get guards to divert their route to bin it, and you get a coin for free.
There are some other useful things to know: if one makes a mistake after killing the target/s in freelancer or elusive targets, one can simply turn off the game as long as 47’s death loading scene doesn’t play all the way through, ability to break out of maps with breaching charges and certain breakable melee items, the subdue out of bounds glitch, and etc
I feel like I've learned a few bits as well, despite being hundreds-going-on-a-thousand hours into each entry in the trilogy. Here's another fun fact: Chongquing is actually pronounced "chong-ching" (a light "ch" sounds on the "ching" syllable). Not even Diana gets the pronunciation right.
The coins and gold bars really do come in handy to sneak past guards and bystanders to get to restricted areas just be careful that you don't use them all up or you'll have trouble getting past more guards or civilians that stand in your way.
Only one I didn't really know is the thing for dropping items to stop investigations. Nice tips though! I do find stupid sedated targets lose SA. One thing I've been wondering though, do fire extinguisher explosion KOs count as accidental? I know in Hitman 2016 they used to be accident kills like propane flasks are but then got nerfed to only knock out but I'm not sure if that one ruins SA. I'll throw in a freebie tip I saw elsewhere not everyone may know: Every NPC can always open any locked door even if they logically shouldn't be able to, and you can exploit this if you wanna go through one and don't have a key or keycard or just can't force it open safely: By luring an NPC right to the door, usually placing a coin right up to it works, and they'll open it up for you to slip through. On Freelancer this doesn't void the annoying "Doors Stay Locked" challenge either because the door is still registered as locked.
Fire extinguishers create accident KOs yeah. They can even erase the evidence in some levels. The one in the block in Chongqing, I usually do that with the two guards that are just below the recorder and it'll KO both of them and erase the evidence. I wanna do some testing with this in other maps.
5:40 I really want to onow where you get the fodes in level simce I only know the ones actually 100%-ly needed for the levels ie: The safe code on Dartmoor and the Train code.
Wait, I have a video on my channel where I kill one of the targets in Haven with a banana accident into the water and I don’t loose Silent Assassin. How’s that possible?
The only reason to use sedative poison (as syringes) is if you want to roleplay as like Dexter or some serial killer or something. Otherwise it's so useless.
Great video I've been playing hitman for years didn't know the gold bar works as a coin that's awesome I have to try it out now thanks wild gold you are awesome bro 👍 😎
The other day I carefully set up an accident kill by putting a rake close to the edge of a lake and have the target walk onto it and fall into the lake, yet I lost silent assassin. I thought I must have done something wrong but now I finally understand what happened. Getting knocked out by the rake already lost SA, the falling in water accident after didn't change any of that.
I remember my butthurt, when Lyudmila Vetrova drinked sedative poison on the pool and died from drowning, and i suddenly lost my SA. Pretty stupid, that you will keep SA if it will be lethal poison.
@@wildgold the only people that didn’t know this was people that haven’t tried it in ages and you need feed back on the video if that’s your video as the more feedback from your views are better. Great youtuber u are 🤣😂😂

Yeah it's weird that a banana is considered an illegal knockout, but using a Kalmer-1 Tranquiliser isn't haha
I'm sure if multiple people sends a feedback email IOI might rethink this system lol

Imagine gunning down random person because your boss slipped on a banana.
It took me until now, playing from HM1, to realize that you dont need to shoot cameras. Thrown objects take them out too.
