At 604wh, even with 18650 cells, it's well worth the price. 17mi on AT wheels and 25mi on 120mm CW is pretty excellent at that price! Wondering if I can save the extra $200 for my first 'fancy' board and just get the original AT2... You think it's as comfy/carvy? I care about that more than high speed/torque. Looking at this or the Hurricane Ultra or even cheaper Atlas 2WD for the holiday pricing.
Thanks so much for the compliment and for subscribing! The AT2+ is more refined than the original the deck was nice but with the upgrade to the bigger 12s4p battery that alone is worth the money. You won’t feel like you need to upgrade to quickly down the road. The ultra and the atlas are also two very good options to pick up as well! The hurricane is the newest category for bamboo and the atlas doesn’t have a bamboo option but both are powerful and fun.
What do you think? Which one are you leaning towards?
@@DrewElia part of my hesitancy is the inability as a consumer to find equal specs to compare. Ex: websites show the AT2+ has a 37" wheelbase but the Atlas 2WD has a 46" total length and the Hurricane Ultra has a deck length of 39"... all using the same spec would be more helpful. If the Atlas really has a 9.5" wide truck vs the AT2+ at 12" I'd throw out the Atlas as being too narrow I think; or is it misleading and they're measuring from different places? Some don't even show specs like that (I tried a buddy's metroboard and disliked how solid and hard to turn it was... I equated it to being zero flex carbon, probably he liked his trucks super tight since he has a need for speed too though). I want to stop focusing on price but don't have the money not to, lol. The regular AT2 would be my cheapest of those. If I wasn't worried about the extra dough I would have bought an Acedeck X-1 AT or Black Carve 3 already. Anyways, long answer, a sheet of apples to apples specs would help me decide most.
Ugh, you have a hard choice my man. The AT2+ is a great solid board, the deck is super comfortable and the trucks are fantastic to pair with it at the DKP it eats up the road conditions. It sounds like your against carbon all together due to the zero flex. So the ultra bamboo or the at2+ seem to be your choices. The ultra has a better battery with the 21700 cell set up, bigger motors as well, the foot stance on the at2+ is narrower but I still really enjoyed the feeling of it. I guess it depends now which way you want to go, little bit more money the hurricane is a solid choice that you will keep for a while, at2+ incredible price point and gets you into the sport and maybe you upgrade down the line. You won’t be upset with either choices! If you choose either one make sure to use my link and my code to save some money hit it helps give me a kick back from the company! Full transparency.
