man ive played UO since 96/97 T2A and all these new skills throw me off bigtime... i like the new monsters / custom map but all those new skills ruin it for me... i would have to dump most of my UO knowledge and start from scratch... but i would def need my hand held lol i used to love to PVP and even played UO gamers... ive been wanting to try outlands but all those skills make it a bit overwhelming to even start... in what direction would you point someone looking to start outlands?

120 forensic over tracking IMO. Same damage bonus as tracking but free loot on top of it. PKs aren't much of an issue when you're only visible a few seconds at a time.
So ruffian lets you get codex exp too, without tactics. Normally you'd need 80 tactics for a weapon codex, right? I wonder if tactics is worth for damage at all, or if I should disperse the points to more camping/anatomy or something. I'm using an avarwood manual, but I'd like some more base weapon damage, too.

New to the shard, used to play a bit ago (Metro Shard) I have most of my skills taken care, and recently just got Shadow Hands & Ruffian to 3/3 Just like your build describes I have the following skills GM'd or capped like your example. Camping 100 Tracking 100 Stealth 100 Hiding 100 Stealing 100 Arms Lore 80 Swordsmanship 100 ---------------------------------------------- Total: 680 pts/700 pts I am draining my skills for tactics and snooping since I no longer need them with the thief codex. I have a lot of room for skills not hitting 700 cap. I am still newish farming gold to afford skill orbs and scrolls. What do I do with this spare skills that I am not utilizing while I farm up to 120 in the proper skills? Thanks in advanced! Love the vids, especially your thieving content(Used to be a master thief back in the day, hoping to get back to it again)
You could put them into focus for the time being, not sure if it's even needed on a backstabber but the option is there. I would normally recommend camping as a flex for extra skill points but you've already got it. EDIT: extra points in Item ID will buff your magical weapon damage, or could go alchemy for extra potion buff duration and heals. Since it's only 40 skill points you can train them instantly at an NPC

hey Pwn I run this interesting template of sneak hide magery 90 ss 80 for summons as tanks while i steal and then steal. so i have 100 to use for wrestling because i want to do this backstab build too. with codex giving me 100 tac and 100 wrestling can i be viable as backstabber? or am i gonna have to do something else (traps?) with that last 100 because i will get bored of just running around stealing from mobs w summons not really killing them either
Say, I could change my wr dexxer for a wr backstab build if I marked down some skills and levelled hiding/stealing/stealth instead if i wanted to? Something to think about since I've not really committed to him just yet. Got a decent farmer now with the summoner to fund stuff. If I track a red with him under 100 steps, I'm recalling outta there haha
im curious what kind of gear you guys all use on your mugger templates? bone? ringmail or plate? I guess you can wear anything since it doesn't use magery, unless theres some sort of penalty im not privy to.
Whatever I have the most of or my load out was. Plate is prob the best. But you aren't typically taking dmg as a mugger so it shouldn't matter TOO much. Otherwise plate for the typical hits you DO take or bone if you wanna not get mindblast spammed by pks

Fencing w black guard. Forensic no need for steal over 80 your not taking from players and still get 100 tac with 100 stealth I run 60 camping and no strong boxes I come out with around 15k and 1k leather. And gm anatomy I'm still running the build from my old videos 15 20 min a run 15k easy
@Pwnstarr Gaming Sir so this doesn't work for archers right till you hit from 1 tile then it doesn't make sense to Play archer backstabber with this build
The hinder proc helps with more survivability. Some may do the initial backstab from far away and skip the mugging. Then mug for the killing blow. Thus the range wouldn't be needed. Low Armor targets a heavy crossbow is gonna hit HARD too. 🤷♂️
I completed this exact build and have been hitting dungeons lately and found this is the worst part of the build. And everyone wants to reveal you. Super annoying and discouraging
@@MerkoniumJonesactually now insee at least a third of people run these backstabbers. And thats in top levels of dungeons. Dunno if something changed but it seems to be popular.
I farm redhand even on pvm templates , its really rare I get attacked. Personally. I'd do redhand.. your hidden most the time, and you get a bonus for black goods.

Anything with snooping and stealing. Id go around JUST pilfering the top floor of SSC while other players kill things and gain the thief codex up enough for shadow hands and ruffian. Then id make this template .
1:40 you CAN use forensic. But without the disarm is key for optimal damage. Also the special helps a ton for getting that much needed bleed off. 4:10 for archery.

Hey :) Id wear plate. But really you won't take much damage. Typically any dexxer templates you would wear plate. Keep in mind though if a mage pk casts mindblast you will take a lot of damage. So its best to not try and stand your ground. Sometimes people will throw in a few pieces of chain to help offset that. But... id suggest plate even with that caveat

Hello, I'm a new player on outlands and I'm trying this template. Now the thing is yesterday I purchased codex of swords but it wasnt gain any experience. Looks like we need tactics to use this codex and be able to gain exp for it. So my question is when I put 3 points in ruffian, I will be able to gain experience and use codex of swords? Thank you.

My thought is you should jump on test and see for yourself :^) No matter what you do. People will tell you to do something different 😄 so familiarize yourself with test center . But stated in the video all of them are great! I just personally liked swords the best.
Dude i was looking for this scrolling like wheres healing in this build?? I thought they drank pots. Yeah the shadow healing aspect takes a while leveling wise doesnt it? I just unlocked lvl 1

Just run around the top of ssc pilfering other people's monsters . Moving to the next one then the next then the next
At prime time playing as mugger suck. It’s killing so slow that most of the tammers or mages will steal your kills.
yeah its rough! def go to less populated areas! but once your aspect is higher you become the one ksing them! bahahahaaaa

How much gold does the auto mugging actually take? I assume a decent amount.
varies on monster; it generates gold rather than steals so you get MORE on top of what the monster has when you kill it

I'm not using one.
I am using a couple hotkeys for normal backstabber functions though. Like stealing, stealth, hiding
