Great stuff and epic editing but skating on the Buddha just shows disrespect for their culture. In a lot of places this would be punishable by law so I'm glad you guys didn't get caught doing this . A bit torn about this video really

Wow, this brought me back! I was 18 years old and I left Alaska to go on an adventure and part of that was I got to skate all around in India. There were places that I just knew no one had skated before in 2002. I lucked out getting to skate on an ocean of marble in some places, next to elephants, in cities, in villages, and even in jungles. Unforgettable experience and this video series is reminding me of some of those emotions of discovery and innovation. I was there for 4 weeks and went all over the country with 11 other people. It was gnarly! Thanks for the sick video series! One suggestion for future trips you guys take: if you think you're the first skater to skate a location, just be aware for those people that any first impression you make will paint every other skater that they could see or meet with the same light. In a way, you're ambassadors of who skaters are and you represent a global community. It might not be a big deal but skating on a buddha statue like that was a total disrespect. And now those people that saw skateboarders will probably equate every skateboarder as disrespectful. Just something for whoever organizes these crazy/fun trips should take into consideration.

It’s OK they are not skating on the head, real Buddhist who know real essence of Buddhism are not closed-minded. The image is used to concentrate and imagine to real Buddha to thank him for his teaching.
