raleigh chopper mk1 skip find

whilst walking my dog late at night I basically came across this whilst putting a poo bag into the skip to which I discovered this. After taking the dog home and going back in my car literally round the corner to collect it, I done some research and it's a 1973 mk1 raleigh chopper targa mustard hbr but is missing the large sissy bar. gave it a good look over and a good WD40 to the vital areas and put air into the tyres and she was good to go.

That was my exact thought. Person's emptying the house of where I found it. Clearly thought just an old rusty bike.

I'm 61 now and we called the Mark 1 The Skull Splitter, because the relaxed rear geometry meant you could land on your head if you tried a wheelie. Raleigh changed the geometry because of that. Also, you got the best paint and livery combo.

I am made up with the colour as I found out its a rare targa mustard HBR model that had the large rear sissy bar.
