Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 is a fantastic superhero movie and Ninja Turtles 2 is a fun and entertaining sequel. But this is easily worst of the original Ninja Turtles Trilogy and surprisingly it is far better than those god awful Michael Bay flicks.

This movie was so bad the Turtles looked hideous with spots all over them, and the mouth movements were just horrible. That's what made fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies turn away from this movie. It's definitely one of the worst Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies I have seen.
This movie sucks for sure, but I'd honestly still rather watch it over the newer Michael Bay movies which I know isn't saying much but that just tells you how bad those movies are, especially Out of the Shadows. If I had to choose though I'd just watch the first two movies again or rewatch the 2003 series before ever watching any of these bad TMNT moives ever again.

I remember watching the third movie in the theatre the first day it was released when in the middle of the movie I started to get the sensation that the ninja turtles franchise is soon to be over. After the movie ended, I remember walking out of the theatre pondering over the ninja turtles cartoon if it will survive after the reception this third movie got as the third movie was somewhat forgotten soon thereafter. I think the movie Jurassic Park was the newest thing at the time. The next thing I knew, the turtles cartoon took a turn downhill where there was no more Shredder and whatnot to the point where it no longer resembled the ninja turtles cartoon I saw in the early 1990s. Then came the short-lived The Next Mutation TV Show which was unwatchable to me. Anyway, I went from this third movie directly to The X-Files TV Show and stayed there for about a decade. Nowadays, I can watch the third ninja turtles movie, but, it is still off to me. It comes off goofy and generic as it tries to come off as serious. Not a great film. I bet it could have been a lot better if they didn't include any time travel and stayed with Shredder and the foot clan and company or something in modern day New York.
I would always watch the first two back-to-back. I always hated this one, and have seen it in full maybe only two times. Even #2 I liked. This one feels too far removed
i remember seeing it when i was younger too and enjoying it overall but i do remember noticing the differences in the turtles costumes and not liking them, they looked crap, the jim henson company did such a great job with the originals..ive not seen this 1 for years tho. i also disliked the donnie head from TMNT2, his beak made him look too goofy and like he was gurning and i hated his voice, feldman in the first film was so much better.
great rant mike and the first 2 turtles films i liked and i agree i hated this film not use to think was a guilty pleasure what it could had been or should had been they could not even asstblish they own time travel rules lol and the diolog was stupid

I saw this in theaters with my sister and my daughter and I thought it was okay
