Hi ,I have visited Kingston mills many times and enjoyed seeing the trains passing over the canal .At one time I saw 2 trains one freight and the other a Via train .You could take a lunch ,they have picnic tables there ,Thanks awaiting the video on Kingston Mills
Thanks! It wasn't long after this that CN stopped using cabooses. Old fashioned!? Hey, I filmed this! I'm not that old...LOL! Thanks again for watching and commenting.
I have a bunch more. I have to find them. Then convert to AVI. I have a short one of an F-Unit going through our backyard (from when the LRC's were developing cracks in there axles) when they were brought back from retirement! It's neat looking at these old videos!
@railheadok Those lines,we call them telegraph lines and poles, are still there! Some are down in areas where they were in the way of local construction such as new road flyovers. Yes, they are slowly dissappearing. We should take lots of photos while we can! Thanks for watching! I'll be checking out your videos too!
@celica825 This is at mile 183 Kingston sub in Amherstview. It was 1983. I used to live in the apartments beside there. I still go there and there are some great spots here in Amherstview!
Howdy ,I thank you very much ,I really do love that place ,maybe take a lunch ,they did have picnic tables there .and do you have a scanner .Maybe you can catch a Via and a CN freight
Thanks! I do have some of Kingston Mills, but from a rock cut looking towards the trestle. You can't actually see the locks from my point of view. But, I would be more that happy to do a video in and around Kingston Mills for you! In fact, it sounds like a great idea!
Howdy ,are you from Kingston or surrounding area , That zenith camera probably no parts available for it ,as age is a factor and all those moving parts I repair electronics ,it would be worth your while to go on E-bAY or goggle and punch the model # of your Camera on it I Enjoy your videos .
Early 1990's. I haven't used that camera in decades. My latest camera is a Sony HDR CX100. It does record in HD, but I prefer SD for my videos. I may experiment more with HD through the summer though.

Wish I was able to see the GP9 high hoods but they were gone by the time I started train watching. Keep up the great work and video's.

wow, what a vintage shot, caboose and all. I like it!
Four cars on the first train at 0:10, 107 cars on the second train at 1:22.
