podcasts I LOVE: Right Answers Mostly (this is a history podcast but its in like a gossip format between two friends), Ologies with Alie Ward (she has different "ologists" (aka professionals) come talk about the things they specialize in), and Binchtopia (two girlies talk about pop culture things, some history, and they go on some random tangents sometimes, but I love them). I listen to a ton of other podcasts but I feel these ones specifically fill that "learning itch" i've felt post grad :)

GURL. If it makes you feel any better, my grocery expenses for June were sky high (over $1K), and I haven't been eating out as much. One of my goals for July is to cut my grocery expenses in half.
I really like the goal setting part of your video. Although it sometimes seems like you put too much pressure on yourself to accomplish a lot. 😕 like with the stretching, I think the whole thing dragged you down more than it brought any good. Make sure the goals are set with the right motivation and make sure they are attainable. You’re doing great! 💕

I’m glad I’m working nights mostly with my new job and only three nights a week. I try to do all my errands and shopping before noon lol. Otherwise I’m inside relaxing in the AC 😂
My high of last month is I applied and got accepted to Scad! My low I would say is mentally been going through it for different reasons, but hoping to get out of the funk soon!
I had a suggestion to include month on month trends of ur budget haha maybe thats the marketing data nerd in me but in the current format, when you say you need to reel your expenses in I dont rly see it cos I dont see how you spent relatively to the month prior 😅 so maybe like “my spending this month is x% higher than last month but lower when i last moved in etc. takeout this month is x% higher than last month etc” 😂

Also, if you are looking to get back into journaling, there was a book several years ago that I found very helpful, don’t know if it is still around: “list yourself “.
Giiiiirl I gotchu w podcast recs: -The Popcast with Knox and Jamie (they educate on things that entertain but do not matter) -Side note by asap science is a great science one!! -Honeydew me is about sex, and they bring on experts each episode and like I’ve learned SO MUCH from them -NPR Politics podcast is a short digestible way to kinda stay in the know and learn abt politics- they do a weekly roundup on Fridays…those are the eps I listen to most consistently
Book recommendation: Self care for tough times by Suzy Reading. It's such a validating, useful and uplifting book, An easy read especially when you're feeling mentally low.
I would highly recommend The Diary of a CEO podcast!! You can learn so much from it. Whether it’s about mental health, fitness, finances, physical health, etc. there’s so much variety

My health insurance was better from my previous employer. I paid way less. My doctors visit was $40 on my previous insurance. My current employers health insurance for a doctor visit was $200, seeing the same doctor.
I would highly recommend “we’re all insane” podcast!!!!! I listen to it every Monday on my hour drive to work and back. It’s about other people telling their story and spreading awareness about issues. I love it soo much and it has helped my mental health a ton!! Please give it a try!!
@@TheMorganGibson July is the start of the 2nd half of the year and well also Quarter 3(in the corporate world every 3 months of a year is a divided up to look at different things such as finances). There is also a fiscal year but that can start and end for in different months dependent on who you work for. Example fiscal year for the university of Michigan goes July 1 2024- June 30th 2025.
