wow i honestly thought this vid had lots of views and he had lots of subs because of how good quality this is!
Hey I really appreciate that comment!
Cool! Love the humor.
Tips, though: When cutting the tops of the posts, Take a speed square and draw a line across the post, where you’re going to cut. Then when using your saw follow that line to make a good flat, square cut. Use a circular saw, if you have one. Also, you can set your circular saw at 45° and cut about 1/2” off he square ends.
There are caps you can get for those posts, to to finish them off and make them look a little nicer.
I’m not a big fan of putting concrete mix in dry and in then pouring water over it, if that’s what you even did. I like to mix it with the right amount of water and then put in the hole and tamp it down with a piece of wood.
Your friend asked what pressure treated is. Pressure treated lumber is where they take a whole unit of lumber, put it in a big cylinder and fill it with a treating solution and then pressurize it for hours. This solution gets inside the wood helps prevents it from rotting and getting eaten by insects. They used to use a solution called CCA, which stands for Copper Chromium Arsenate. But, even though the arsenic was a very low amount (the same as what is naturally in dirt), they thought it was bad for the environment (CCA treated lumber was bad to burn. I don’t know about burning the pressure treated lumber, currently on the market), so they changed it to another type of treating solution.
this is super simple but beautifully built great work man!
KING IN THE CASTLE

5:50 "hit a big rock...... contemplating life." MAN, i felt that. my backyard has all sorts of rock layers, so even something simple ends up being stupid hard. HOURS of work. fml. though i love this build and would like to do it.
He’s back this is very epic
Your pfp 🔥

Great video brother, keep it up.
Nice job, loved the interaction with your brother, I guess. As if you can't do a pull up, nice try. cheers
You can’t trick me you look strong enough to do a pull up 😂
Awesome! 👍
Looks like weight pit at camp 😂😂😂😂 can’t believe I’m only seeing this now
Haha I didnt realize that til you mentioned it too
Beautiful scene when your lil bro swings his golf club
No cement needed just deep enough hole and tamp it good
@@MelodiesAndRhythms true but you might as well on a 4x4. A bigger post you don’t need cement at all
Dope vid will be planning mine peace ✌️
This video was awesome bro thank you 💪🏾💯
You're welcome glad you liked it!
5:46 🤣🤣👌
Nice job bro!
Thanks!

#purina
nice my guy
Thanks my guy

Bond. Harrison Bond.
So you didn't put the cement I'm down mixed with water so it can harden?
You don't need to mix it. It absorbs the moisture in the dirt and then bonds to the wood. Mixing it is pretty much a waste of time for wood posts. It's been a year and a half and the bars are still standing like they were when we first put them in
@@alexanderlegassick619 thank you 👍 again
@@alexpadillayt ur welcome
@@alexanderlegassick619 if i mixed it, what will happen?
@@Nusins_09 same result whether you mix it or not
Concrete is poris it’s gonna rot out the post over time treated wood or not you should of put flashing around it or something all good it’s just not gonna last as long
It’ll last 10-15 years. Long enough
That portaband would make a saint cuss
hahah yepp
Looked through the comments to see if anyone else thought the chainsaw segment was horrendous, but no, everyone seems to think it's OK to use a chainsaw without any PPE. FFS!!
This was covertly a suicide mission
@@alexanderlegassick619 Which obviously failed as you are answering messages. Haha. Foiled again!
What’s the diameter of the bars bro ?
My b I think it 1.5 inches
Nice video, I'm going to do this project soon I miss doing pull ups and dips. What boot brand and model are you wearing?
Thanks! The boots I was wearing were "Carhartt Men's 6 Inch Waterproof Wedge Soft Toe Work Boot
Awesome
How sturdy is it?
It's pretty sturdy for 4x4's. Go 3 feet deep with concrete for the pull up bar, and do the dip bars 3 ft deep with no concrete, tamp it up and you'll be good.
cool
What kind of bar did you use on this?
I just used some 1-5/8 galvanized pipe
What's the total cost bro?
The wooden beams shouldn’t be in the ground
Bar diameter too wide looks at least 1.5", should be 1.25
how tall are you?
Good stuff btw, you'll blow up big one day
I'm 5 foot 6
@@SWard-oe8oj thank you squidward
@@alexanderlegassick619 right to left? Cause you have the calves of a very tall person (no offence). How are the bars holding up today?
@@SWard-oe8oj haha I was kidding. I'm actually 4 foot 11 inches. As for the bars, they are still standing today. They've survived through 5 hurricanes and 10 earthquakes.
The very first thing that you need is a backyard 😅😅😅
Bring in the excavator
Total cost please?
About $100 in total. I’m not really sure because some of the material I got for free from where I work
Wish I can build a pull up bar but the problem is I don't have any frickin money lol I wish I could work even though I'm 14
Christmas present
uh oh, the brail just brailed out of the brail.
brail.
What!!??😭😭😂😂😂
You look like Conan O'Brien if he didn't have a successful talk show

@@alexanderlegassick619.... touché
Fuck ya mate more Aussie slangs 😂😂
You built the dip station but didn't even film yourself using it.
That’s because I’m too weak to do a dip and I didn’t want to embarrass myself
I'd pay you to make one for me and install it
@@alexanderlegassick619 i live in lancaster pa .. You??

Dangerous - post not protected in the ground
Rot over time and then bars will become a hazard over time
Should use a steel post fix and set it in concrete
wait... you cant do 1 pull up? its literally 1 pull-up...
Jesus is lord
You legit just poored dry cement directly in the whole... Thought you had a brain for a sec
Concrete is hydraulic. When it's put into the ground, all the water in the dirt is absorbed and the concrete hardens. If you're mixing concrete with water and pouring it into the hole for a 4x4 you're just wasting your time
