I've known about Nightwish for a long time and I've been a fan ever since I first heard their Once album. I always felt like they should be more well known here in the US, and after watching so many of these reaction videos it just confirms how great of a band they are. This song is 15 years old, this performance of it is already 6 years old, and it's still blowing people away with it's brilliance.

Also the reactors if they have never heard of them. It keeps them interested in maybe playing more Nightwish. It is hard sometimes understanding Tuomas's lyrics, because they are so poetic. Yea to be honest, I think it's a little dangerous to introduce people that have never heard Nightwish before to the Live version of Ghost Love Score right off the bat. It's kind of like giving someone WAY TOO BIG of a hit of a powerful drug. You gotta start em off slowly build up their tolerance a little bit before you hit em with this. Otherwise you risk overwhelming their emotions and leaving as piles of jelly on the floor, and no one wants that. We gotta be responsible who we deal our drug to fellow Nightwish fans.

I discovered this song through reactions. I have since scoured the internet for his many reactions to this song as I could find. I'm a huge Nightwish fan I have tons of their music now, and I am just constantly jonesing for that floorgasm. This song is better than sex.

Watching another reaction video to this song recently was my introduction to Nightwish. This song is EXCELLENT!!! I must have listened to it 50 times in the last month. The lead singer is extraordinary!! Operatic one minute, growling the next, she is very talented without a doubt. Your reaction was similar to mine and I had to breathe after the first time hearing it. The time changes, key changes, pumping rhythm and the bass being so pronounced is amazing. The drummer did a great job too! The guitar solo should have been a bit more though, it ended when I was expecting it to take off like the rest of the song does. But it was great. This song is one of a kind that's for sure!

There are not many singers in the world, which be able to switch so fast between rock/pop voice and their classic voice. Floor is really amazing and one of them. My brother.... to be able to hold those notes takes training... Floor (her name BTW) has that training.... you can see it seems almost without effort that she does this...because in the main it is but like the stamina it takes to be a football player a singer needs that level of practice to do what she does.
I've heard about 40 "reactions" to this song now. I never get tired of them. I love seeing people shocked by what they are hearing at different points in the song, and remembering how I felt when I heard them too. I've yet to hear another of their songs which hit me like this one, and especially this specific version. But who cares - it's incredible.

LOL, welcome to the world of Nightwish. Many changes, surprises and all around epicness. Get ready for more Nightwish requests. You've done gone and sent out the alarm now. You'll find most people will request live performances. That's because Nightwish is so amazing live. Now with Floor Jansen, who is their 3rd and most recent front woman/vocalist by the way, she just really knows how to get the crowd into it and she has so much charisma. Not to mention that voice of hers... Floorgasms! I see a lot of comments for The Poet and the Pendulum (Wembly 2015) already. It has a back story you may want to familiarize yourself with before watching that one. Tuomas was going through a lot of emotions when he wrote that song and they're all manifested within the song. It's like a movie score that tells the story and the actors are the musicians and vocalists on the stage. It's a long one too. About 14 minutes I think. The Greatest Show on Earth (Tampere 2015) is even longer. The song itself is like 18 minutes I think and then there's a lot of narration, fireworks, bows and selfies at the end that ends up making the video about 21 minutes long. They have shorter songs if you'd prefer to start there and get used to the band first before jumping into those long epic pieces. Like Romanticide (Waken 2013), Song of Myself (Waken 2013), 7 Days to the Wolves (Wembly 2015), and they have newer stuff off their most recent album in those Wembly 2015 and Tampere 2015 concerts and they have pretty good audio mixes like this one. I like the newer stuff a lot personally. It was written specifically with Floor's vocal range and diversity in mind. This song and all the songs from the Waken 2013 performance are all older songs from when the band had other singers. Tarja Turunen was their first, and then Annette Olson was their 2nd. Floor does a great job singing those songs, but there's just something about the new ones that I'm really digging here lately. Maybe it's just because they're new to me? lol Anyway, enjoy your exploration of Nightwish. Many people fall in love with them pretty quickly once they discover them.

5:15 Your question about her short recovery after the long tone and then back to verse, she takes a really quick breath just before the verse. If you listen carefully you can hear it. Correct breathing is a major part of singing.

I love this band too, and seeing your reaction is amazing. I saw them live in Baltimore in March of 18, I see I need to take some Bro's along. Rock and roll started pre WW2 with all the black musicians, and moved on from there. Love that, the old blues and jazz. Now we have Amercian style metal bands in Europe. I never knew that until this past year. Keep it up. My fav's from this concert are "story time", and "ever dream". You've just had your first "Floor-gasm". Nightwish is a Finnish (as in: from Finland) band that decided what Heavy Metal really needed was a classically trained female opera singer as vocal lead. Thing is, out of three lead vocalists, they've had two that were trained this way: Tarja and Floor. (Tarja getting kicked out of the band and replaced by Annette is a whole long story...) Nightwish is famous in Europe, but you'll never hear them on the radio in the US...because if they ever put them on the radio all the music studio bands would have to go work for a living....... If you liked this, try Nightwish's "The Child" or "Storytime", both sung by Floor. Ghost Love Score is more "operatic" while The Child and Storytime are both more "Heavy Metal" - and it's a whole different experience when the one doing the headbanging is a woman in a halter top.....

I discovered this song through reactions. I have since scoured the internet for his many reactions to this song as I could find. I'm a huge Nightwish fan I have tons of their music now, and I am just constantly jonesing for that floorgasm. This song is better than sex.

I love Floor performance, and she is more rock. Tarja is more opera. But has even more amazing voice. I think Floor is however better for metal band, even if it is melodic. Definately they do great now with her.

Watching another reaction video to this song recently was my introduction to Nightwish. This song is EXCELLENT!!! I must have listened to it 50 times in the last month. The lead singer is extraordinary!! Operatic one minute, growling the next, she is very talented without a doubt. Your reaction was similar to mine and I had to breathe after the first time hearing it. The time changes, key changes, pumping rhythm and the bass being so pronounced is amazing. The drummer did a great job too! The guitar solo should have been a bit more though, it ended when I was expecting it to take off like the rest of the song does. But it was great. This song is one of a kind that's for sure!

There are not many singers in the world, which be able to switch so fast between rock/pop voice and their classic voice. Floor is really amazing and one of them. This record from Wacken bring everytime a smile to my face. At Wacken that was the 13th song the played...the 13th and she still hit every note.

My brother.... to be able to hold those notes takes training... Floor (her name BTW) has that training.... you can see it seems almost without effort that she does this...because in the main it is but like the stamina it takes to be a football player a singer needs that level of practice to do what she does.

LOL, welcome to the world of Nightwish. Many changes, surprises and all around epicness. Get ready for more Nightwish requests. You've done gone and sent out the alarm now. You'll find most people will request live performances. That's because Nightwish is so amazing live. Now with Floor Jansen, who is their 3rd and most recent front woman/vocalist by the way, she just really knows how to get the crowd into it and she has so much charisma. Not to mention that voice of hers... Floorgasms! I see a lot of comments for The Poet and the Pendulum (Wembly 2015) already. It has a back story you may want to familiarize yourself with before watching that one. Tuomas was going through a lot of emotions when he wrote that song and they're all manifested within the song. It's like a movie score that tells the story and the actors are the musicians and vocalists on the stage. It's a long one too. About 14 minutes I think. The Greatest Show on Earth (Tampere 2015) is even longer. The song itself is like 18 minutes I think and then there's a lot of narration, fireworks, bows and selfies at the end that ends up making the video about 21 minutes long. They have shorter songs if you'd prefer to start there and get used to the band first before jumping into those long epic pieces. Like Romanticide (Waken 2013), Song of Myself (Waken 2013), 7 Days to the Wolves (Wembly 2015), and they have newer stuff off their most recent album in those Wembly 2015 and Tampere 2015 concerts and they have pretty good audio mixes like this one. I like the newer stuff a lot personally. It was written specifically with Floor's vocal range and diversity in mind. This song and all the songs from the Waken 2013 performance are all older songs from when the band had other singers. Tarja Turunen was their first, and then Annette Olson was their 2nd. Floor does a great job singing those songs, but there's just something about the new ones that I'm really digging here lately. Maybe it's just because they're new to me? lol Anyway, enjoy your exploration of Nightwish. Many people fall in love with them pretty quickly once they discover them.

The thing I love about good live metal bands is their ability to implement the audience screaming "hey" into the song. so when you are there live you feel like the part of the song.
5:15 Your question about her short recovery after the long tone and then back to verse, she takes a really quick breath just before the verse. If you listen carefully you can hear it. Correct breathing is a major part of singing.

I love this band too, and seeing your reaction is amazing. I saw them live in Baltimore in March of 18, I see I need to take some Bro's along. Rock and roll started pre WW2 with all the black musicians, and moved on from there. Love that, the old blues and jazz. Now we have Amercian style metal bands in Europe. I never knew that until this past year. Keep it up. My fav's from this concert are "story time", and "ever dream". This band stole my heart.......your's too........She is awesome......6' tall, barefoot, that is why she has the lungs, she's a big, tall, beautiful Dutch gal......

i've seen so many reactions to this song now and i haven't seen one that doesn't blow the reactor away, one of the most phenomenal songs i have ever heard.
You've just had your first "Floor-gasm". Nightwish is a Finnish (as in: from Finland) band that decided what Heavy Metal really needed was a classically trained female opera singer as vocal lead. Thing is, out of three lead vocalists, they've had two that were trained this way: Tarja and Floor. (Tarja getting kicked out of the band and replaced by Annette is a whole long story...) Nightwish is famous in Europe, but you'll never hear them on the radio in the US...because if they ever put them on the radio all the music studio bands would have to go work for a living.......
If you liked this, try Nightwish's "The Child" or "Storytime", both sung by Floor. Ghost Love Score is more "operatic" while The Child and Storytime are both more "Heavy Metal" - and it's a whole different experience when the one doing the headbanging is a woman in a halter top.....
