IWhateveer one thinks of the late PM, it's a shame she didn't do this cameo herself. It is nonetheless a charming end to one of the better Bond films and should have marked Roger Moore's final appearance in the role.
I always thought, why they cut the call, I dont think the PM minded where this call was going.. Dennis also looked like the kinda bloke up for anything.
Two actors or "characters" in this film are credited to have invented or come up with the idea for an ice cream, and neither of them is Desmond Llewelyn or Q
This goes straight in the Favourites. Wish you would have given it a bit more straightforward title though, this was a right bother to find! Coincidentally, any thoughts on why Mrs. Thatcher didn't make a personal appearance?
Actually, Moores departure after Octopussy would have been perfect. In the movie, Octopussy offered him a job and she wasn’t just any Bond girl. Her character had some depth. Bond and Octopussy were equals. And you could see there was a chemistry between them or at least I thought so
This is highly problematic on so many levels My personal dislike of Thatcher doesn't prevent me from condemning how shamelessly sexist this whole clip is, from the squawking parrot to the apron and marigold gloves
