Its incredible how good these budget Moto phones are. Moto has been doing this for many many years tho and its nice to see people catching on finally. I nabbed one of these a few days ago and honestly im blown away. I mostly just call, text, use youtube and record bite size clips of me making hiphop beats on my MPC for instagram stories. And the quality for all that is incredibly high. My one complaint is the 720P screen but it atleast records in a higher Resolution. Last night i realized the display can be set to 120HZ, dude i couldnt believe it! IVe owned 1000$ phones that couldnt come CLOSE to that. So its a trade off, but i spent 150$ at cricket wireless for this phone and the quality blows my expectations out of the water. I have never owned a smart phone with a 120HZ display, and now i can never go back to anything less. That smooth scrolling is a game changer. I honestly forget that its res is 720p, since its a phone its really not the end of the world since the screen is small. I bought Chrono Trigger last night and ive been playing it non stop all weekend. What a good buy. I only got it becuase my older phone suffered from me slamming it into the wall at work and i expected to come home with a trash phone for that money, instead i feel like i got away with stealing or something. Moto has no competition in this budget market, in america atleast.
Edit: I just realized this phone has Dolby Atmos access for the headphone jack. Bruh, ive spent 1000$ on more than one phone that didnt have that!

Love my Moto 5g 2023. Got it for 40$ for switching my number over to Cricket, and took the phone, not knowing what to expect. It has surprised my so many times that sometimes I forget that im using a mid level phone. Have had some nice phones and this one ranks near the top of my favorites list. A very nice and reasonably priced phone.

I spent $500 on my Samsung Galaxy A52 5G a couple of years ago and it has a 120 hertz refresh rate. Maybe 3 years ago or more you needed to spend $1,000 on a flagship phone for 120 hertz refresh rate but not in the last couple of years.
My friend just bought this Moto G 5G so I was curious to learn more about it.
Seems pretty basic overall but it's not too bad however I still prefer my Samsung Galaxy A52 5G personally.
Keep up the good work. 👍

My 7-year-old Moto 4G began having old age technical glitches in 2023, so I ended up purchasing the 5G in early December 2023 at Best Buy for a year-end sale price of $199.00+. Unlike Kevin's, the accessories in the box included a DC wall charging adapter. Although somewhat longer and heavier than the 4G, all of 5G's features suit me just fine as I'm not a high tech geek.

Nice seeing a 3.5mm jack and a SD slot still in 2023. The phone is about $50 bucks too much for the CPU performance and amount of RAM compared to my 9S bought a few years ago. Might be worth it if it has USB 3 and video out so it could also be an Android desktop with Ready For or like app.
The CPU should be good enough to emulate a few Game Cube games using Dolphin.
I have a Redmi Note 9S ($250 back shortly after launch) with the SD 720G with 6/128GB RAM/ROM and just got a Moto G100 with the SD 870 with 8/128GB RAM/ROM. Looks like the SD 480 is just a point or 2 tad below the 720G and about half that the 870.
I have issues with my Moto G100 where you can't disable raise to wake and prefer to wake only when pressing the power button. I also can't swap the back and recents buttons as there's, again, no option in there flavor of Android 12.

Dude, its worth it. I have cricket wireless so with my upgrade, i got this out the door for 150$. That was a STEAL! Dolby atmos from the headphone jack, 120hz display, SD card slot, its a steal. 4gb ram isnt the end of the world, i cant see it being an issue for ANYONE unless you play demanding games. The games i play on it tend to be classic rpg's like the old Final fantasy games on the play store and chrono trigger, and dude, with the 120hz they run butter smooth. I even loaded up Black Desert mobile version and its running as good as any other phone ive used in the last 2 years.
You are talking about running dolphin and emulating gamecube games, that is NO easy task even modern computers can STRUGGLE with that! That requires ALOT of fire power so if youre able to even do it at all, is incredible. Dolphins requirements are quite high even today. Thus far the only - i have is the 720p screen but since its a phone, its easily forgotten and the 120HZ display is IMHO a decent tradeoff. Id rather have 720p 120HZ over a 1080p 60hz display, no question. Especially since the main games i play on it are those 2d sprite classic JRPG's like FF, Chrono or Dragon Quest. Its INSANE that these moto phones are so cheap

@@jonathansoko1085 T-Mobile has a GREAT promo option going on right now where if you pay a $100 "credit" towards your account(goes toward your future monthly bills) then you can get this phone for FREE. Its what i just did, my S21 Ultra shit the bed in the middle of the night and i needed a "budget" phone quick. Told the dude at the store what i was looking and out of my options this seemed like a no brainer. $100, and I walked out not having to pay my cell phone bill now for atleast the next half a year, along with this phone in hand for FREE. For those that might not be able to do the math 15.99monthly bill x 6months = $95.. Make sure to turn on RAM BOOST to increase it from 4G of ram to 5G(only will work if you have available storage space). The 720p screen isnt a problem really, as the number itself usually suggest not so great quality though. However people need to understand at this screen size your not going to notice that much of a difference between 720/1080p. Having 120hz screen refresh rate is more important for fluidity and smoothness than pixel count in this particular situation imho(once you make the jump up from 60hz on anything whether it be a phone or monitor, its impossible to have a pleasant experience if trying to go back to 60hz). The phone is more than capable and im enjoying it more than i thought i would be, really enjoying gaining back features i really missed like 3.5mm headphone jack and *expandable storage* its so nice. Might be willing to give one of those up for NFC though.

Overall the phone is really good I ordered it about a week ago from the Motorola website it took 3 days to ship which was nice.
The only two things I hate about this phone is the battery life. If you are on it all the time playing games or watching videos it might last you one day unlike the moto g 2020 which had around 3 days worth of battery life.
The second is the finger print sensor it is the most infuriating thing on this phone whoever thought it was a good idea to have the power button as the finger print sensor should be fired 😂. If you happen to hit the power button to shut the screen off and you don't move your thumb fast enough it will immediately turn back on. Unlike the 2020 version the finger print scanner was on the back of the phone. I might change it to just my index finger eventually if it keeps happening.
Also the audio speakers on the phone are really nice but for whatever reason, I have a $100+ dollar headset for listening to music and it doesn't sound right when connected to the phone. It doesn't sound bad or anything but something seems missing I've tried messing with the Dolby settings to correct it but had no luck.

    • @Not-A-Virus123
      @Not-A-Virus123 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Also the storage is a plus I'm pretty sure the guy in the video goes over it but if you buy it through the website you get a total of 256 GB of storage and I barely came close to filling the Moto g 2020 64 GB.

The camera is defective and highly pixelated. Very obvious when making video calls.

You know, because of how BAD moto is at naming their phones. ALL their line are so close in name, it makes looking up videos a nightmare its impossible to get what i want. Looking up gaming videos for each one is impossible
