I have this exhaust, but it's a 200mm Stainless can with a Carbon fiber tip. I use it with baffle out, and the deep bass it produces just has to be heard in person. The best part is on a long decel, the steady deep boom gets everyone's attention real quick. The brits love their bikes, I ordered in the US and it got here in 4-5 days. Much faster than I expected.
Well after watching ur video buddy made my choice just purchased the MT09 come with the scorpian exhaust not keen on the sound saw ur video played it on my surroundsound 😂😂.And made purchase on ebay chose the blue tip version to match the bike thanks for a great video safe ridin buddy
Fitted, the neighbours don't mind as I haven't removed the baffle and when I pull away in the morning I make sure I'm slow... It's my ears that hate it mate.

Not sure your mic really picks up sound well but I'm pretty sure the Akra with baffle out is much louder than the Black Widow with baffle in. But the Black Widow is a beast with baffle out.
Where ever they are made they are a awesome bit of kit compared to their competitors..cheap enough to make you think you got a steal of a deal and loud enough to make you grin from ear to ear...had this on a mt 07 brilliant
Got the delkevic version of the same exhaust. Enjoyed it without the baffle for a bit created a dead spot on my triumph. Put the baffle back in and problem solved, stock tuning though so understandable. Great exhaust.
Sad thing is mate that the 3 new bikes i bought when i was riding, i didn't have them long enough to see them through to MOT. In my opinion, It defiantly wouldn't pass with db killer out, with it in, it's not to bad but i think it will depend on who's doing the mot. On the .gov website it says " you should assess the exhaust noise by revving the engine to approximately half the maximum engine speed." and "the noise emitted from the motorcycle is not clearly unreasonably above the level expected from a similar motorcycle with a standard silencer". So i would check with an MOT garage or even JT motorcycles as they may have a better idea. This exhaust is not for touring really, the akrapovic is much better for this.
Had the 200mm on my mt07 a few years back- that thing sounded fucking beast mate. Got an mt09 with the akra titanium too- sounds good enough, but just feels a bit... a dunno, ‘flappy’. Also having clearance issues too- Thinking of selling it on and getting a black widow again.
The standard akra on the mt09 still has that massive box underneath like the stock exhaust, that was one of the reasons i changed to black widow. Beastly exhaust though
His mic does no justice I have the baffle in and it is very loud. probably more loud then my old yoshi R55 on my r6 with baffle out. Im not sure if im just not used to 3 cylinder engines but should my exhaust be popping so much. I only have to rev it to 3000 rpm to get a pop and downshifting sounds like a gunfight. Yes mine for sure pops much more than yours do you have an ecu flash?
Awesome pipe dude, i just changed mine over from a MIVV to an SC Project. The MIVV was 51mm an the SC is 61, not much that much different in sound quality but its easier to get it in my house with a shorter pipe...lol. we need to sort out a meet up soon as well dude, before winter sets in?
You are supposed to retune anything fuel injected when you change anything on a fuel injected bike... will it run if you dont yes.... will it run as efficiently no. It will shorten the life of the motor long-term.

Ah great, amazing exhaust but earplugs needed if using baffle out! It was a GoPro hero 4 silver, mounted on the front of the helmet with a mic attached that is placed behind the chin guard. There is wind protection on the over the mic

Hi there, thank you! You do not have to change anything to do with ECU or electronics. You can get an ECU flash/power commander to improve fueling and general running but it is not essential. I get around 130ish miles out of 10 litres of fuel which was the same of my MT07 i use to have. I had an akrapovic before this and fueling was the same but i cannot compare it to a stock exhaust as i barley had it on :P Acceleration isn't a problem even from low speeds, no bogging down ect

On my commute to work yesterday I had exactly the same scenario with a Girl on an MT07 with Carbon Akro and it totally killed my MT09SP. Been ummming and arrrghing for a while but think I need to do it.
I’m sure it went down a bit as it runs rich with these after market exhausts, not massively if riding normally but you may crank the throttle more to hear the amazing sound 😉 Having the bike tuned or installing a power commander would fix that issue

Yes black widow is a great aftermarket system, may be cheap to buy,, but great quality, great sound,, also it has higher ground clearance than most aftermarket exhausts, got one on my bike,, makes a great bike,, better, fast light and loud,, great,, check mine out if you get time,

QuietDaz Thank you. You can get it tuned if you want but with most modern bikes, if you let the bike idle for a few minutes, the ecu will sort itself out
Do you know if there is a legal exhaust sound limit? I got the 230mm version of this for my CBR125. With the baffle in its rather loud on acceleration (Probably due to the single cylinder). Don't want to get pulled over for anti-social behaviour lol

Ok I've gotta ask, how "obnoxious" is it in comparion to stock exhaust and akrapovic one (both with baffle in)? I'm from Croatia and our laws are little bit different so naturally I'm concerned.
I'm from Hungary and was concerned about the exact same thing. The company manufactures exhausts with larger silencers, I'm quite sure the bigger ones are legal for us as well.

I believe the new 900GT comes with one from stock but the standard ones don't. You can easily buy one from eBay ect and fit it, may be a bit better than the stock ones
Omg this fucking noise without baffle... is too much i dont know how it works in uk but here in spain you have 200 euro from cops if they see you with this sound. Anyway for that price is a nice option.. akra and sc project is close 1000 euro .. you can afford some penalty with the savings. ;)
In the UK there is no noise limit but if you make yourself a nuisance then you can get in trouble. You can get written up/fined if you don't have a baffle in but i have never had an issue. Price is perfect and it shows those big brands is all that you are paying for is the name. Thank you

Recently purchased this exhaust for my 2015 MT09. Sounds incredible! Don’t get any of the pops or bangs but happy enough with the sound.

Watched this mate as I'm thinking of getting one for the tracer. I'm worried about MOT failure and my ears after hours touring.

Its standard fueling, didn't get a remap. It does run a bit richer but didn't see a massive difference in MPG. Also no O2 sensor errors
If you want your engine to last long get remapping done asap

Did u get any discoloration on your exhaust can or the pipes.

my bad, thought they were always bronze. The pipes have gone slightly bronze but still have a shine
My left downpipe sits really close to the bottom of the engine, does yours do that as well?

What means low/high level? Mounting ?
WITT33 Correct yes, its the mounting. High level is normally up by the back wheel and low level is under by the rear set
Ok I've gotta ask, how "obnoxious" is it in comparion to stock exhaust and akrapovic one (both with baffle in)? I'm from Croatia and our laws are little bit different so naturally I'm concerned.
I'm from Hungary and was concerned about the exact same thing. The company manufactures exhausts with larger silencers, I'm quite sure the bigger ones are legal for us as well.
So did you ever find out?

@@shapelessdreams Nope, its basically the same, with or without baffle. I didnt have any problems yet, although our PD is pretty outdated on equipment :D
Do you know if you can get the quick shifter on the tracer 900?
I believe the new 900GT comes with one from stock but the standard ones don't. You can easily buy one from eBay ect and fit it, may be a bit better than the stock ones

It is not tuned now, would like it to as it does run lean. No issues running lean, it just pops and bangs a lot on upshifts and overrun

Omg this fucking noise without baffle... is too much i dont know how it works in uk but here in spain you have 200 euro from cops if they see you with this sound. Anyway for that price is a nice option.. akra and sc project is close 1000 euro .. you can afford some penalty with the savings. ;)
In the UK there is no noise limit but if you make yourself a nuisance then you can get in trouble. You can get written up/fined if you don't have a baffle in but i have never had an issue. Price is perfect and it shows those big brands is all that you are paying for is the name. Thank you
