Even to write a screenplay you need to know how screenplay is structured, how to develop characters and how to edit scenes properly. Filmmaking is not something that you do on your phones. It's not a short film. Both Mani Ratnam and Rajamouli said the same thing. Learn about production design, how to use lighting, camera angles, special effects. What I really appreciate and like about Rajamouli's work is that he always had stories that were very rooted. Also Rajamouli's earlier film were very dark and dealt with some sensitive topics. Lol, no of vetrimaran, pa ranjith or lokesh movies have made any money in the north. Very convenient of you to forget ram gopal varma who is a telugu director and made pan india movies. So did Raghavendra rao. Currently sukumar, rajamouli, sandeep reddy vanga are all making pan india movies and unlike pa ranjith, lokesh, vetrimaran, their movies have made 100crs in hindi langs already. But keep living in your dream land lol

Irrespective of the films RGV is making now he knows a lot of world cinema and he can talk to any extent about any filmmaker or the making process. Apart from this RGV and Mani Ratnam are great friends. They both shared the story credit for Thiruda Thiruda and Gaayam. What I meant is when Mani Ratnam and RGV just sit and talk about cinema it would be great.
