Really enjoyed watching your blogs. My local town is Inverness, good to see up dancing and enjoying yourselves in our wee pubs 👍. Good work.

Hello Ladies, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching a couple of your Vlogs today. I am a former Glaswegian currently living in Canada and when I return on holiday I visit most of the places you did.
I like that you ate in pubs and it appears that you got your fair share of interaction with the locals.
Your video shots are very well done and in excellent locations ... and not forgetting the music selections.
Thank you for a job well done !!

Loving your videos from Scotland and happy you enjoyed your visit to our country. There is more volume of water in Loch Ness than all the lakes in England and Wales combined. Schiehallion at the Gellions is a must do on any visit to Inverness. Go Cubs.

    Great vid.
    Wonderful weather.
Loved the music in the pubs.
I’m from Glasgow but have lived in England for 34 years, when I’m reminded how incredibly beautiful my country is it’s hard not to feel very homesick.
I’ll watch your Glasgow video now .
Hope you liked my hometown .
    Cheers

We loved Glasgow, as well at the other cities we visited. We just felt very much like we didn't have enough time to do and see everything, and of course we want to go back!

      I’m glad you liked Glasgow.
I lived about half a mile from the city centre ,so spent my childhood running around those beautiful streets.
My girlfriend who’s English always says her three favourite cities are New York , Paris and Glasgow.
Who knows maybe one day that is what will be printed on luxury goods.
Looking forward to seeing your future travels.
      Cheers.

You are such an adventuring couple, loved that you took the time to get the feel of Scotland. was delighted that you visited Clava Cairns, about 7 miles from my home.

Another little titbit about Loch Ness is that there once was an attempt on the water speed record, which unfortunately ended in tragedy.
The person trying to break the 200 mph record was called John Cobb
Just try entering John Cobb water speed record on TH-cam for the story.

So much to love about this video, though I'm a little biased because this is where I grew up. So glad you got to all these places and had such a good time. (And bonus points for crediting all the musicians!).
If I'd been in the back seat, I'd have suggested coming back from Fort Augustus up the south-east side of Loch Ness, on a road which rises high above the loch, and some way away from it for much of the route, but which gives some terrific views towards the north. And when you do come back down to the loch, you get to visit the Dores Inn, at the north end. But you can do that next time, right?
Anyway, thank you. That has brightened my evening!

I love this! Thank you. Neither of us had been to Scotland and just got a taste of all that your country has to offer. We definitely need to return and are talking about trying to make that happen.

Wow! That's great. I want to go back, but it will take more than one visit to see and do all that Scotland has to offer.

As you probably gathered the Caledonian Canal was a massive engineering feat but a commercial failure. In short time and technology overtook it in that by the time of it's completion trains had taken over as the main mover of freight. Of course it is extensively used for leisure.

Did you walk across the people bridge in Inverness? I thought it was so cool. Enjoyed your trip and your visits. Culloden rips your heart out, or at least it did mine. Your sound pickup was a little iffy sometimes, but your photography was great.

    • @DandL83
      @DandL83  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

We only walked across one bridge, so I am thinking no? You are right about the sound; I need a "dead cat" and a microphone for sure. And yes, Culloden was somber.

Great shots, I particularly liked your sequences at Loch Ness. One thing: the city's name is pronounced 'Glasgo', not 'Glasgow'

Thank you! We did learn the correct pronunciation and practiced saying it correctly until we got it right!! I can't wait to return.

Ha Ha! We just talked about that--the name of the channel. He wasn't with us on this trip. I began making videos for our memories with family and friends which usually includes David, but I travel without him, too!
