From that twist, Thor and Loki planned that they should let Malekith remove the Aether from Jane before they strike, so Loki already conjured an illusion to make it seem that he cut Thor's arm, but the moment Malekith removed the Aether, Loki removed that illusion so Thor can recall Mjolnir and strike the Aether, which did not worked since the Aether can repair itself, not to mention that the Aether was the effing Reality stone stored in a fluid state!

Never understood the need for the professor to be naked in this movie. Took away from his legitimacy. Just turned him into a clown, which he wasn’t in the subsequent film.
