Love this series, love all your videos! You do know that Jimmy-John only has the cone to stop him from licking his wounds...when you are playing with him or walking him, he doesn't really need it. Ask your Vet to be sure, but it's only to keep him from licking the wound...

Gayle I am enjoying watching you make this altered book. I learned how to tear out pages, layering. When I first started journaling I tried to do one, it was horrible. But I’ve started a new one, it is beautiful. Thanks for all your help.

I'm loving these pages. They are beautiful. You have a good eye for color that goes together. It's Nice to see the different designer's work's go into the journals and look so good together.
Thank you forvthe tip on how to get your pockets to lay flat when gluing them. It's funny how we react to such info. As I type I'm holding my phone at the angel to make the pages lay flat. I laughed at myself when I realized I was doing this !

Enjoying watching you complete this book. Poor Jimmy Joe, but smart dog on how to get his collar off..papers are gorgeous in the book. Use one of the torn out book pages as a template, use tear ruler to make it the size you want when covering a whole page. 👍🌸🌸🌸🐰

I can never leave the cone on my pets. I can’t do the tough love😢 My daughter, the veterinarian, says just keep an eye on them, and if they start licking the stitches put the cone back on. My cat was recently neutered and he went bonkers in the cone. I finally just took it off and he was fine. I’m loving this series btw, I think this will be the perfect project to take to our beach condo in September. I only have to pack a book, glue, ruler and papers! ( I’ll try not to over think that)

I am enjoying this altered book series 😊!! I have started working on a Steampunk Junk Journal. Thank you so much for helping me out with correctly naming my Craft Journals that means so much to me 😍. You did some collaging like I do in my Junk Journals. I love just allowing several pages to come together as a beautiful pattern on one page 😍- Amazing!!

Omg, you crack me up when you're talking about JJ, poor baby! he is not himself, he might be scared and annoyed by his cone and can't express it! the barking could be because of that. You laughter is so contagious, lol; I love it!! Boy you sure made my crochet digits look fabulous, you do have a magical touch my friend. That little girl had dragon wings, lol! and she is me when I was a little girl! I am in love with this multi-themed journal! there is something for everyone's taste!

Gorgeous! I love all the different digital kits, be sure to add some of your own! Whoever had the suggestion to turn the glue book upside down - brilliant! I started my altered book/writing journal and man oh man, some of the pages went right in the trash! I'm going to make a template tomorrow for the pages-great idea. Your hammock time sounds delightful Gayle, but my heart hurts for Mr Jimmy Joe :-( he has no idea the cone will eventually be gone, poor guy :-( "hang in there buddy, your in the home stretch!" While you are getting used to your new system you can put a postit note on the front of each folder telling you what is each one. love your work
I love this, Gayle. I think we need a pic of Jimmy Joe. We all could use a good laugh. I’ve gone through the same thing and it is hard and you can’t help but feel sorry for him - kinda like wearing a cast on your predominant arm.

Thank you for sharing your talents, ideas and time. These last few months have been really stressful. I live in South Africa and our number of C19 infections are just not stopping. I also don’t know if my small ECD center will survive. Watching you craft has not only been inspirational but it has become my therapy...it usually relaxes my mind that I’m able to sleep.
Anyways I’ve started crafting my first journal...yay...🤩looooving it. Totally therapeutic and relaxing. I am so grateful, THANK YOU fo doing this series.

Yes I too like to watch you do an altered book. We do need a picture of Jimmy Joe with his cone. I had a bunch of dogs that were neutered but none ever had to wear a cone!!! None were big dogs so maybe that's why...Poor baby..

I love how this book is coming along ! poor puppy having to wear the cone of shame !! ;)
Why does Gayle's dog having to wear a cone? My vet does not believe in cones. He told us to put roll on deodorant on the stitches and the dog will not lick them. No need for a cone and subjecting the dog to stress.
I don't believe in them either but then again, I don't believe in that type of operation. Unless there's a life saving need for it, I just think it's wrong
Gayle, your poor pup! The pet stores carry soft e collar like a lifesaver candy. Its a ring that goes around the dogs neck. Much more comfortable for the dog and he can eat and drink with no problems. I’ve using them for years and as a mom of 6 rescues that I have had to have fixed it has come in handy. Good to have on hand in case Jimmy has a rash or something else come up over the years. You might want to google and check them out. # makeyourlifeeasier! On another note, the journal is so fun. Going to try one too!!! My problem is if I have a complete kit printed, I need to reprint the pages as fast as I use them. I think it’s a hoarding problem! Have a less stressful day!!!!😀

Gayle, I just love watching you create. The stuff I ordered so I can create my own journal have started to come in and I have to say I spent a chunk of change. I guess there is always something more that I will wish to have. I look at all your bits and pieces and wish I had some of them. But I am going to hold off and just see what I can create with what I have.

Oh Jimmy Joe will certainly be happy to get his cone of shame off. I am sure relaxing in the hammock will be much more comfortable after that. Dogs are sure funny though...mine is always making me laugh. I love how you are choosing the papers for this truly lovely journal. So many beautiful designs.
This book is looking awesome
Hi Gayle , the cone is to keep him licking and chewing the surgical area. You can remove the cone and monitor him for short periods of time. And unless the vet has said no walks you can walk him without the cone. The cones are very disorienting and frustrating for most dogs.
Enjoying the book! Maybe if you can figure a way to take JJ for a walk with that cone on then it might wear him out and maybe he will calm a bit. Just an idea. When our dog had “that” surgery, I took the cone off to take him out to potty and roam the yard. I watched him to make sure he didn’t bother his surgery site then immediately put it back on when we came in. Good luck! Poor baby!
