To be clear: E.W.W. is a parody series. It's meant to take absolutely every clip out of context and make fun of the series that it's parodying (whatever that may be); in no way is this meant to be a legitimate compilation of "Everything Worth Watching". I hate these OVAs and I don't particularly care if you like or dislike them. And yes, I've used dubbed clips. They're funnier. The Japanese audio is mediocre, not "good", and bad dubs are more fun to watch.

The one single thing you can really give the OVA dub credit for is turning it into comedy gold. From what I hear, the original Japanese dub was just plain boring.
Well except D'arby fight which was superior to new Anime
I actually have every ep of the original japanese version
To be fair, the animation wasn't too bad- at least, compared to the quality of the voice acting, sound effects, etcetera.
I think a part of that comes from them cutting a lot of things for the sake of length. A lot of the wacky stuff in JoJo is in what is removed.

I think the OVA water stand is scarier than the modern one
In general, the OVA has better horror elements due to the better animation as well as the more realistic gore, and because the aesthetic is more drab than fab like in the new version.

Nah for me the pacing is a little off in the OVA, there's weird pauses. Like just before it cuts Kakyoin, it's just hovering there and no one is doing anything. I like the anime's stratling suddenness more. Not to say that it's bad by any means in the OVA, I just like the anime version better.

this had way more fluid animation than the 2014 version, the modern version has alot a still images with very limited animation , don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the modern version but this ova has more actual animation compared to the 2014 version
Well of course, OVAs can get the "luxury" of making high quality animation. Any studio would burn to ashes if they tried to have OVA-quality animation on a TV series considering budget and schedule
