good job brother! you did something every backyard bbq weekend warrior is afraid to do. Put a brisket on a gas grill. You succeeded perfectly! I have also done it a few times. I kicked it up a notch or two. I put a bare brisket on the grill grates. Smoker tube only for a few hours. Burning post oak. Or pecan wood. then bring it inside. Season it. turn on the Fire. and bring it inside at 206ish degrees. Sometimes for me, 200° is a little tough/firm.. but I know it's all about the cuts and quality of meat..awesome video brother brian..Spokane Washington
Thanks Brian, This was a first for me on a gas grill. I've done other things like ribs and Tri-Tip but have always done 10 to 12 hour cooks on my smokers. I have to say that brisket turned out great. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend I truly appreciate it.
@@PMPBBQ it is truly people like you that take the time to make an amazing quality video like this. It takes time. Money. Video editing.!! Ninety-nine percent of your viewers have no idea what it takes to edit a video. In fact, I would not even know how to do it.😊 so thank you again for your knowledge. Experience. Your time and money to show us how to make something wonderful like a brisket on a gas grill. I can only hope most folks can comprehend how much time you put into this. And ultimately, that brisket. That beautiful thing you just created! Too bad there is not an app that we can scratch and sniff. Cheers to you and your family. ..Love again. Brian and family. Spokane Washington
Thanks for stopping by my friend, that brisket turned out great. I was pleasantly surprised how good it turned out on a gas grill. Thanks again for watching and commenting.
I am a novice to brisket preparation, let alone on a gas grill, but do you turn it at all? I didn't see you do that at all. Great video! Simple, and sounds delicious. Trying this evening.
No I didn't add any more during the cook, the smoke tube I have last for about 5 hours once filled with pellets. By that time it was over 140 degrees. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just a suggestion - I enjoyed your vid - please discuss cooking times. Length of time before the parchment, then how long after-length of smoking/cooking is kinda the whole thing, really. Also, maybe it’s obvious but I’m a newbie, I have no idea how to do this-I think you had it away from the flame, right? Sounded like that when you said the two side burners were on. So…you grilled off/away from the flame, not direct heat, 100% of the time? Really important details-thank you VERY much!
Thanks for stopping by and watching Greg, yes it was indirect heat the whole time. When I smoke brisket I use internal temperature mostly. When the brisket gets to around 160 internal temp I stat watching the "bark" on it. When it gets the amount of bark I want I then wrap it. I then take it to around 195 internal temp and start probing it. When it probes like warm butter I pull it and rest it for at least an hour. Depending on the brisket it will probe like warm butter somewhere between 198 and 205 degrees. Hope this helps and thanks again for watching and commenting.
I have a BBQ that I find it difficult to keep the temp under 300 degrees. With the open lid I can keep it down, but I am not sure if it will cook the same like this. Help, please.
Brave man. Would never attempt putting that brisket on there. Snk river has some good stuff. Looks like it turned out great.👍🏻 how much of a mess did it make in the grill?
It did make a little mess in the bottom I had to clean, but after tasting the brisket I have to see the clean up was worth it. Thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it.
How often are you replenishing the pellets you used in the smoke tube. Most smoke boxes or tubes don’t last long in the amount of smoke they produce. So I find I have to replenish. For a long cook like a brisket I worry I have to constantly be adding more wood or pellets through out the whole cook. How many hours was there active smoke going on the grill?
I have smoked a brisket on a gas grill using a smoke tube. I actually light my tube from both ends. My tube expands to about 14 inches. I get 1.5 hrs smoking from both ends of the tube. I usually have to refill 3-4 times before I wrap. I keep an extra tube so down time replenishing is minimal.
I know exactly what you mean, I had to save up to get the brisket myself. Wanted to try it just to see what all the hype was about. Thanks for stopping by, watching and commenting, I really appreciate the support.
You mean you can't afford it in one lump sum. Mine only cost 40 bucks and is bigger than his. I bought it last winter when i had some extra cash (i decided to stop buying junkfood and treats) amazing how the garbage adds up!!!
It took about 9 hours, make sure you have a second bottle of propane for your grill in case you need to change it out during the cook. Thanks for watching and commenting, I truly appreciate it.

How do you check the temperature when it's wrapped? I just have a poke thermostat
How long did it take to reach 170 before wrapping it? Trying to get an idea how early I’ll need to get up to get one going for dinner
Thanks for stopping by and watching, it took approximately 5 to 6 hours to get to 170. Hope that helps.
Yes sir, it sure does. Thanks for doing this video and I can’t wait to give it a go!

Can you prepare beef brisket in the same way? Thank you!

Grill temperature about 170 and the internal temp 200?
I wish i could see the grill set up, up close
What questions do you have, I'll try to answer them. Thanks for watching and commenting. I truly appreciate your support.
It would help if right off the bat you'd tell how big of brisket, seasoning used and how long you cooked it and at what temperature.
How long did that take you?
Thanks for watching and commenting. That cook took approximately 9 hours and then a 1 hour rest. So a total of 10 hours.
Thanks I’m going to give it a try will let you know what happens

It was really good. Thanks so much for watching and commenting my friend.
Spray your paper to make it more pliable
Thanks for stopping by and watching James. I will try that for sure, thanks for the suggestion.
Sorry, but Most of us can’t afford a 150 dollar brisket…….
