HOWEVER, maturing is realizing that Lucas was never torn between Riley and Maya, but rather, he he was torn between how best to love Riley. Openly choosing Riley meant hurting Maya, which would, in turn, hurt Riley. He never wanted to be with Maya, but he didn’t want to reject her, because of what that would mean for Riley’s feelings towards him. If he chose Riley and hurt Maya, Riley may not choose him back, for fear of betraying her best friend. He left the choice up to them, not because he couldn’t choose between them, but because he needed Riley and Maya to figure out what Riley being with Lucas would mean for her friendship with Maya. Like Josh, Lucas chose the long game. It just took me a long time to realize it.

Riley didn't even bother to do a research about what a bull look like before sign him to a rodeo competition and lucas goes back to Texas without informing riley. The writers make this looks like a joke, i mean no offense to rucas shippers. But it's not okay to call your girlfriend a losers when she only have one bad grade in Spanish, and he didn't even encourage her to raise her level. Guess who did? Farkle. Lucas couldn't even sense when Riley was hiding something (GM Rileytown, GM Texas Part 3). I didn't ship lucaya either but they have more development than rucas. Even after Lucas chose Riley, they still didn't act like a couple should act. And I'm glad they finally ended this love triangle, but the way they ended it. it's so stupid, you can't be someone else just because you dress like them. And Maya has known Lucas since season 1 and he's such a nice guy, so why did the writers make Maya become Riley to see if he's good enough for her? I don't think the writers know how to end it because lucaya is already more developed than rucas so they made this stuff up

One of the reasons why Riley was kinda depressed that season. Lucas has always been boring to me. Riley, on the other hand annoyed the shit out if me from the beginning. Based on how much I don’t like both of them, they are a match made in heaven.

Maya did get her happy ending. It’s not the happy ending you would want, but she got the family, and the father she always wanted. Her happy ending was Shawn adopting her.

Riley and Lucas were never "brother and sisters". That whole take was always weird. They always seemed like two "old souls". They're healthy, non toxic, and traditional. Just because it isn't the fire-and-ice type of relationship, doesn't mean that they're not meant for each other, it's actually quite the opposite. I've never seen a healthy "fire-and-ice" type of relationship last in the real world. Those Sam and Freddie type of relationships are often at most toxic in every situation I can think of, and in most cases rarely last a life time.

I don’t understand why people fight about this so much, why can you just let people ship whatever the hell they want! I ship lucaya but I don’t hate Riley, I don’t call her selfish or anything, stop criticizing one of them because you like the other one, they’re both great friends and that’s it.

nupur mistry Lucas never liked Maya that way. But he was probably afraid to hurt her so he choose to not say anything. But in doing so, he hurt Riley. One of the reasons why Riley was kinda depressed that season. Though Riley was the one who pushed the two of them together so her heartache was partially her fault but we can understand why she did what she did.

Lucas has always been boring to me. Riley, on the other hand annoyed the shit out if me from the beginning. Based on how much I don’t like both of them, they are a match made in heaven.

Riley and Lucas were never "brother and sisters". That whole take was always weird.
They always seemed like two "old souls". They're healthy, non toxic, and traditional. Just because it isn't the fire-and-ice type of relationship, doesn't mean that they're not meant for each other, it's actually quite the opposite.
I've never seen a healthy "fire-and-ice" type of relationship last in the real world. Those Sam and Freddie type of relationships are often at most toxic in every situation I can think of, and in most cases rarely last a life time.
