Excellent tips mate. I'm going to try this at a relatives place this week. Must admit a little shy in using my impact on the screws- just anxious about breaking the glass even on low setting!
@@mikewaters6980 there is (or should be) a rubber piece between the metal and the glass that is getting sandwiched as you tighten, so you should be okay. That said I need to tighten mine again here after a couple years as it slowly works it's way back down

@@JCO847 appreciate u taking the time to help mate. I guess its a design thing. Personally had a slide door over 30 years no issues. Probably luck
I don’t have the confidence to try an impact driver on glass. I did mine manually with the #3 Phillips screwdriver, worked beautifully.
@mguerramd that's good! You will probably find you need to just come back to tighten it more often
