    Josh Roberts is the best commentator I've ever heard, and I've heard most of the players who have commentated. His insight into the shots and the way he can express those is priceless.

      supposes he knows how either player moves because he knows them.

    WHY ALL THE STICKERS ON THE TABLE!!! I'd be so irritated not having that to align against. Than again, these are pros, so it doesn't matter to them.

    Great match. FYI to the producers. Some shots were shown from a very low camera angle which was useless for seeing what was happening. Otherwise great.

    What a shot by Tony on that stack... wow

  • @billylangford1800

    I had never heard of Josh Roberts. I was at a tournament in Mobile, roadman and Josh agreed to a 5,000 set of one pocket. Josh won the flip, made a good break and roadman was in trouble. He kept looking at the stack and decided he thought he had a dead ball. His only shot was to jump the stack, hit the rail in the air or it would jump the table. He took his time getting his jump cue out, while Josh is watching the whole time. He makes one of the best jump shots I'd ever seen, hitting the rail in the air, hitting the ball in the rack perfect, making a ball, breaking them out perfect for a run out. Josh immediately claimed no jump cue allowed, even though he watched the whole thing and no agreement had been made about a jump cue. Who was in the right?

    • @GolfAfter50
      @GolfAfter50 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      By default, there are no jump cues in One Pocket. Because this match was at the same time as a tournament, maybe they had a jump cue rule in effect for the event itself and/or the room and someone assumed that carried over to the money match, but it's usually a given that there are no jump cues. If they didn't make an agreement about jump cues before the match started, I'd assume it would just revert to the default rule (no jump cue) -- but I could be wrong.

    what is the rule and the game name.. ?

  • @724riff
    @724riff 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    alex was goofing off to much or maybe downplaying being a under dog possibly . i think the deciding factor was alex playing more conservative at times and tony was more offensive and it just helped tony this time ,,,,,, but tony did take on some serious cuts to create other shots .

    • @FrankJohnsonIV
      @FrankJohnsonIV 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      all but impossible to see, I can play the video frame by frame and on the final stroke the 9 ball barely barely barely moves, I can rock the ball back and forth by going forward and backward this could be a pixel anomaly but it's at the moment the tip hits the Q. possibility # 2 looks like he might have double hit the Q-ball, he was ready to give up the foul long before the ball got to the rail.

    • @740andrew
      @740andrew 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ah I see, he doubled clutched the cb, hate when that happens

    I really do wish the commentaors would stop saying 'stack' & 'pile', it's neither of those things, it's a pack of balls.
