Power Closing Hatch won't open enough? | How to fix tailgate height | Audi

Before you spend time and money replacing gas struts on your hatch or trunk lid that has the Power Closing feature, check to see if the memory function has been set at a lower height than what you think is normal.
Set the preferred hatch height by manually pushing the lid to the position you want it to be at maximum open, then press and hold the auto-close button for 3-5 seconds till you see your rear tail lights blink repeatedly.
