Those are great, Patrick. Oh, looking forward to the Viberg video. Truman is definitely on my want to buy list, just trying to wear what I have atm. I see my next purchase as GS Earth Diesel.
Great video Patrick, love to see you uploading regularly again. Your channel has come a long way since the beginning, and your reviews have gotten more mature. Looking forward to what's to come :)
so curious how you feel about the commando sole now that you've had the boots a while? I personally can't stand it 😂 I wore a pair to a concert and was standing for like 3/3.5 hours and it was annoying me. not very comfortable. walking is ok , but it is still just weird. personally prefer the V100 btw why'd you sell the ships biscuit kudu?
Good questions! I sold the ships biscuit because they just looked off with every outfit I wore them with. I liked them on their own but for some reason I just couldn't love them. I actually like the commando sole a lot. To me it's more comfy than the Eugene sole. Maybe just because there is slightly more rubber between my foot and the ground? I dunno! But yeah - i do like it.
@rockymtnstyle Had the same problem with a pair I bought before. Loved the way they looked but never wore them. I've never tried the Eugene sole and probably never will but glad the commando is working out for you. I normally go with a Vibram 100 or I guess the new Truman heavy lugs on Truman boots
You bet! If you were ever gonna dabble into this tier of boot, Truman is a good place to start. They are rugged and have always punched above their weight... although at $410 they better be good right? :)
I have a pair of their cap toe in brown double shot in 11D, after emailing them about sizing. They're just touch snug so wondering if I should either got up half to one size or EE width (I'm 11E in Nick's). Really liking that commando sole and their cypress (as I don't have anything really light; either black or brown).
That's always a tough call! How much have you worn them? If they are just a touch snug I might get a thinner sock if you can, and try to get them a little more stretched out, then go back to a thicker boot sock to stretch more... then back to a thinner sock and you should have enough room. BUT if they are still snug after breaking in, yeah - probably need to go up and then compensate with a thicker sock. Good luck!
For people who love the colour but want something that has some pullup, Truman just dropped a Sand Teton Stag which is very similar in colour.
Nice suggestion! The Teton Stag is blowing up! GS, Truman, and I saw some Charcoal at Oak Street the other day!
Great review, as always. I really like those boots. Very sharp.
Thanks, Erik! They are good ones for sure.
beautiful boots. the grain break is what adds character to the boots/leather. i would not want it to look new for the entire life. awesome plain toes.
Agreed! And thanks! I'm definitely good for boots to age, but not prematurely! :) Gotta earn it! Hah!
I also have Truman's British Tan Grizzly in 20 last Moc-toe. Love this leather :)
That moc toe is beautiful! If it was available when I bought these I may have went that direction!
@@rockymtnstyle I have no regrets. Truman's Moc-toe has a better silhouette and fit than Red Wing's Moc-toe. The same goes for Grant Stone.

I meant to do the Viberg video long ago, just got way behind on obligations with samples that were sent to me and such! Eventually! :)

Appreciate the kind words! Honestly, just wish I had more time to do more!!

Cool video.
Thanks, Luis!
@@rockymtnstyle No problem.
Another "new to me brand". Looking good brother, thanks for the review.

20 wears, 6 month review. Lol
"Update" and "six months of ownership" in the title and thumbnail. Only have one pair of feet, dude.
4 days a month ? Lol 😂 😅
