I hadn’t expected there to be so much written in English about Seiryu-Miharashi station. Thank you for the adventure. This is a line that Nishikigawa Railway can run profitably? Do they receive funding from the municipalities along the Nishikigawa Seiryu line?

There's quite a bit, although a quick glance just now shows that there are quite a few mistakes. The whole line, from Kawanishi to Nishiki-cho, is not particularly profitable, and there was talk a while back of perhaps closing it. I think it's subsidised by Iwakuni City and (perhaps) Yamaguchi Prefecture, but there's obviously a limit to how much they'll fund it if numbers continue to fall.

It’s just for tourism. I saw something in the newspaper not long ago about it not attracting the number of passengers it was forecast to, though.
