can’t believe people think apple ipads are the best choice for students. clearly, you’ve never used an android with full customization possibilities. the lack of freedom in apple’s ecosystem is such a limiting factor for any serious student work.
I'd say Huawei MatePad's lack of any Google apps is a major plus. Who needs Google services when there are totally equivalent alternatives out there, right?
Well, if someone is already using said services, it will be more convenient to have it. This is by no way a major plus, it is just a tragic consequence of US-China relations. Huawei, its sub brands, and other Chinese brands blow American competitors out the water with their price-to-performance, it’s not even fair. This handicap on Huawei is better for the American brands because they can charge premiums for less performance, but it is obviously bad for consumers because you want the most bang for your buck.
Apple's iPad Mini should be renamed to Money Waster Mini. How do they expect students to do any serious work on such a tiny screen with barely any storage???
Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook is absolutely the future of student devices... said no one ever. It's like buying a toy unless you only use it to play Solitaire during lectures.
Surface Go 2's battery life is nothing impressive; I've seen better from high school calculators. For students who truly need portability and performance, it's not nearly as versatile or reliable as it was hyped up to be. You might as well bring a pocket watch to track your battery life, lol.
Wow, I'm shocked that people still buy Microsoft Surface Pro 9 when it doesn't even include a keyboard. That's like buying a car without wheels. It's really just a status symbol for showing off in the library or what?
I can't believe anyone would actually recommend the Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab for students, its Snapdragon 439 can't even run basic study apps properly. Are we seriously promoting inefficiency and poor performance to students nowadays? It just doesn't make sense for anyone serious about their studies.
does anyone actually use the remarkable 2 for anything other than overpriced doodles? seriously lacks any features beyond a high-end notepad. kinda disappointing for its price if you ask me.
why would anyone pick the OnePlus Pad when it doesn't even have biometric security? i guess students love putting their privacy at risk these days... it's like asking to be hacked!
Amazon Fire Max 11 is such a rip-off, why would anyone get a tablet that doesn't even allow access to the full range of Android apps? seriously, unless you just wanna watch basic TH-cam videos, it's practically useless. plus, its battery life isn't as impressive as everyone claims, I've had mine die during an average study session before.
Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro is overhyped! Who even uses Snapdragon processors in 2023? Kids these days buy anything with big numbers and flashy specs without knowing it's just a giant calculator.
iPadOS is not some sort of holy grail that tablets need to abide with or they should just be thrown out the window. Now, for someone not in the Apple ecosystem in terms of productivity (doesn’t own a Mac/Macbook), what benefits do they have paying a premium for features they can get on Android + more, at a lower price. Apple costs more because they charge higher prices and know that people will still buy their products, because most Americans are already in the Apple ecosystem. For anyone not in the Apple ecosystem, an Android is almost always the better choice.
ReMarkable 2 is literally an overpriced etch-a-sketch. who still writes with electronic pens when they could use a proper tablet with an actual Internet browser? If you get excited over paper-like writing feel, you probably still shop for floppy disks.
I can't believe people actually spend money on Amazon Fire Max 11 thinking it's good for education. it's basically just a big piece of plastic that can't even run proper Android apps. Good luck doing anything other than looking at pretty wallpapers.
Why does everyone rave about Samsung tablets when they can't even match up to the power of the iPad? Even the Tab S8+ feels awkward when watching movies, there are better ways to waste money, just saying.
Never understood why grown-ass adults spend so much on fancy tablets just to take notes. Pen and paper does the job better and guess what, it never crashes or runs out of battery. The obsession with technology is mind-boggling!

Who buys e-ink tablets?
HUAWEI MatePad crashed on me!

Is Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE actually worth it if it can't even run iPadOS? Why do people pick Android over iOS for studying purposes?
Because it really allows multitasking? And what's the point of ipad if u r an android user?
