Fool's gold. Niners have no choice but to overpay Brock. If he walks, Brandon Allen and Joss Dobbs are major drop offs. And draft is not QB rich this year. Drafting QB at #11 means a project QB, not a franchise QB.
@@CrimsonRFang past failures in the draft are not going to make me overpay for a qb who I don’t believe is worth a contract detrimental to the team. Unreal !!! No way !!! Good luck trying to build a champion with a coach that should be fired and a QB that's waaaaaaaaay over paid and can't stay healthy. Go Niners in the future.
This is bogus! I think Denise is pissed about all the money these 2 have blown. She still drives a 1998 Ford Taurus. Yorks signed big checks because they thought they were going to win a super-bowl. That ship has sailed.
If the Niners are going to pay Purdy $58 million a year, then I have a few questions. 1) How can they justify paying him that much with the year he had? (injuries are not an excuse) 2) How many players will the team lose because of the salary cap? 3) Why the hell don't they making the OL better a priority? 4) Why can't Kyle bring in a good OC and focus on the team as a whole rather than micromanaging everything? (ego)
If they wait or low ball him the price will just go up after other QBs sign. $58 is pretty good for the niners and 2nd highest is great for brock. You pay $55-$60 for a QB now. Just the price.
Any front office that agrees to those terms is dumber than I thought. But what can you expect from a team that extended contracts for HC and GM when they haven't won a Super Bowl. I'm having a hard time staying interested in this team after the last 3 yrs.
Everyone saying 50 is too much! Anything is too much!! His arm ain’t right and wasn’t strong enough before the injuries. Move on! If Kyle so great why can’t he find his Mahomes, Allen or Lamar. None of them were top 5. I would rather rebuild one year than be in a 5 year hole paying Brock. It was lighting in a bottle and we ain’t capitalize.
They made Jimmy G the highest paid QB after 5 games so this doesn’t surprise me😂 If this don’t work out next year like miss the playoffs you’re on the verge of firing the coach or GM and rebuild mode.
I’m not even worried about Purdy as a player at this price tag. I think he’ll continue to grow in his 3rd full season. But he now has a torn UCL, severe soreness in his shoulder, and whatever the fuck happened to his elbow against lions all oh his throwing arm.
They need to get an O-line before we get a QB. No line No wins. Brock need to take a pay cut. He prove it at the end of the year he need an O-line he cant do it by himself. We should draft a rookie QB and keep brock on his rookie deal and play it out.
The 49ers will make the Contract worth that much per year but with the bonus they will give him they will be paying out about 20 million off the actual salary cap. We have the money the Eagles just paid Jalen Hurts and they have a way better O-line Defense and Receivers. What would be dumb is thinking we have an elite team and Brock was getting carried. If we had an O-line we would have already won a super bowl. I'm not worried about Brock I'm worried about this 11th overall pick not being good and us not having depth on the d-line.
Brock is better than Hawk Tua, who is making $53. The problem is going to be with the guaranteed money and the # of years. If his elbow/shoulder turns into a chronic problem, the franchise will be screwed for years to come.
I care less if they pay him +$50M unless they replace the OL for 2025 season. Aaron Banks is overrated, Jake Brendel and Colton McKivitz are bad starters. They need to replace those 3 players with better players either FA or Draft.
No extension, Lynch! Let Purdy sit! Bring in Rodgers and Cousins. Heck, I'll even consider Bridgewater. We pull Purdy from the scrap heap and then Brock plays like a Turd(y) in 2024. No way on the $58mm per year. Purdy had three game winning interceptions in his last three games. Purdy needs to watch his own tape instead of reading his own press.
12 other QB’s to perform at BP’s level!! Wow!! Wild take!!! Idk about 58 a year these guys just don’t like the Niners…. Go watch another team…. All negative!
Brock has elite leadership skills? You can say he has great character and is a great person. And is humble. But when has brock got into the huddle and commanded the guys. He never gets into anyone's face no matter how bad they are playing.
The endowment effect is a behavioral economics and psychology principle that describes how people tend to value an item more when they own it than when they don't. It's also known as divestiture aversion. Brock Purdy is an endowment effect.
If its a 5 year extension then you would average it over 6 years which means its around 50M which is just about right. Brock was #1 in QBR last season and an MVP candidate. This year he was 7th on a "bad" team. And it was only his 3rd season. He is still a top 5 QB, and the best in the NFC.

Grant is 100% correct when he says the 49ers are an insecure team that are obssessed with trying to convince themselves that they have a franchise qb, franchise coach, etc. Ryan is 100% when he says let him seek a trade and see what the market says. Dont bid against yourself for to pay Mr. Irrelevant like he is Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, or Burrow.
If they pay Brock that much… I’m out. We’re officially the Cowboys: a completely unserious franchise.
Naw you guys would be way dumber then us 😂😂😂 I bet you were just saying pay him last week and now you have a different story
@ why are you even in these comments? I get that your once great franchise is gonna be a hopeless joke until that demented owner of yours flat lines, but being an ignorant troll doesn’t help that along.
@ who are you talking to nerd?
@@DMB2057 we are the only one on this thread… does that help? or do you still need a nerd to help you figure out the answer to your question?
Fool's gold. Niners have no choice but to overpay Brock. If he walks, Brandon Allen and Joss Dobbs are major drop offs. And draft is not QB rich this year. Drafting QB at #11 means a project QB, not a franchise QB.
You don’t even have to draft one this year, or sign Purdy. Let him play out his contract, and draft one next year. Ultimately, don’t overpay for a qb.
@@billbixby366 worked out real well with Lance didn't it?
@@CrimsonRFang past failures in the draft are not going to make me overpay for a qb who I don’t believe is worth a contract detrimental to the team. Every miss sucks, but what amplifies Trey is the loss of additional picks.
Nowhere did I say trade extra firsts for a qb, and Trey has nothing to do with this. Stay on point.
Don't do it!! 40-45 mil. He's not elite, good but not elite.
Welcome to the Thunderdome Brock. You about to get all the smoke now
😂😂😂 should have never traded Trey. Karma calling
Baker gets 30 mil make it make sense
Baker bigger arm then purdy
Better numbers this year
@@problackbayareaplaya he's playing way better and in the playoffs and I think they'll beat Washington
@@problackbayareaplaya right
Whatever Baker makes, that is what they should pay Brock -period. Not a dime more
Then who will be the Q. B.?
Fire K.Shanahan
This can’t happen cause niners will regret it 🤦♂️
The 7th round pick that took us to the NFC championship when the season was going to be over. He took us to the Super Bowl the next year and now he wants to get paid like all the other QB's he beat to get to the Super Bowl. WAH! WAH! WAH! Brock couldn't win with his 3rd string O-line, number 1 receiver hurt and 3rd string running back. . I wanna win a Super Bowl so let's fire the 2nd best coach in the league and sign our back up from last year because he is in the playoffs. WAH! WAH! WAH!
$58milliom & .49cent would sweet up the deal. 🤣
Unreal !!!
(injuries are not an excuse)
2) How many players will the team lose because of the salary cap?
3) Why the hell don't they making the OL better a priority?
4) Why can't Kyle bring in a good OC and focus on the team as a whole rather than micromanaging everything? (ego)
Of course you have no problems with underpaying him for 3 years. Got it.
You had the kid on a basically a $40M discount for 3 years.
As a non-niner fan that’s hilarious. Please pay him, and you guys can sit at home next year too.
If they wait or low ball him the price will just go up after other QBs sign. $58 is pretty good for the niners and 2nd highest is great for brock. You pay $55-$60 for a QB now. Just the price.
He’s not worth it!!!!! It’s that simple…
Yeah you don’t know football or has how the salary cap works at all lmao
$58 million dollars a year, that would be so stupid decision. This quarterback only worth $35-$40 a year.
Just look at the cowboys it says everything you need to know
49ers never never going to win super bowl until 49ers fire K.Shanahan
He’s worth 45 max
That’s what I’m saying
Any front office that agrees to those terms is dumber than I thought. But what can you expect from a team that extended contracts for HC and GM when they haven't won a Super Bowl. I'm having a hard time staying interested in this team after the last 3 yrs.
49ers are cooked. This organization is just dumb. A better version of the Cowboys and that’s not saying much at all
Everyone saying 50 is too much!
Just remember the Jimmy G debacle Purdy is not a franchise QB
I’m not even worried about Purdy as a player at this price tag. I think he’ll continue to grow in his 3rd full season. But he now has a torn UCL, severe soreness in his shoulder, and whatever the fuck happened to his elbow against lions all oh his throwing arm.
You guy's are talking about two black QB's from GB, and NE. You know Kyle doesn't want that😂😂😂😂😂
Insane to pay brock like that. More than patrick cant even throw a wet ball hes a good QB not great
They need to get an O-line before we get a QB. No line No wins. Brock need to take a pay cut. He prove it at the end of the year he need an O-line he cant do it by himself. We should draft a rookie QB and keep brock on his rookie deal and play it out.
If true, Purdy needs to take that money asap because no team will pay him that much
They are going to pay 58 million a year for 5 years to not win a Superbowl.. 😅😂
Niners will win nothing if this turns out to be true
And yet kyle still here
The 49ers will make the Contract worth that much per year but with the bonus they will give him they will be paying out about 20 million off the actual salary cap.
Just fire K.Shanahan
If the Yorks sign him it's over.
Brock is better than Hawk Tua, who is making $53.
The problem is going to be with the guaranteed money and the # of years.
If his elbow/shoulder turns into a chronic problem, the franchise will be screwed for years to come.
Stop watching and going to games wont be hard when they loose all the time but purdy will be rich hell hes a nice guy
Pay him 45 and sign Greenlaw
I care less if they pay him +$50M unless they replace the OL for 2025 season.
Aaron Banks is overrated, Jake Brendel and Colton McKivitz are bad starters. They need to replace those 3 players with better players either FA or Draft.
RUMOR: The 49ers make another mistake.
There goes our super bowl
Niners cooked till Purdy and Shanacant are gone Too many flaws in between those two
No extension, Lynch!
LOL good luck trying to sign an “Avengers Team” around him. It’s the only time he played well.
Man we better not pay that price.
Is that throwing elbow worth 58 million a year?
Love Purdy, but not worth. 😖
Yes, please. Pay that man! Sincerely, Seahawks fan.
You are all so negative! Go find another team! Nine for over 40 years and I believe they have to pay Brock!!!! Simple!
Ryans take "theres not much difference between matthew stafford and bryce young" then he wants people to take his evaluations seriously 😂😂😂😂
The 49ers are done with this guy we lost like three games because he was drawing interception in the fourth quarter I’m done with these people
He keeps hurting a surgically repaired pop gun arm. This has to be a joke???
I think it’s important to remember this is what he’s asking for, doesn’t mean it’s what he will get
12 other QB’s to perform at BP’s level!!
He’s not worth 58 million. But maybe they use creative accounting so it’s not actually 58 and closer to 35.
😮Ryan is 100% correct, ONLY Jed, Lynch, & Kyle would pay Brock that kinda cash.... Nobody else in NFL would.
The endowment effect is a behavioral economics and psychology principle that describes how people tend to value an item more when they own it than when they don't. It's also known as divestiture aversion. Brock Purdy is an endowment effect.
The problem is the games we lost & injuries has us believing we are better team than what we are
If its a 5 year extension then you would average it over 6 years which means its around 50M which is just about right. Brock was #1 in QBR last season and an MVP candidate. This year he was 7th on a "bad" team. And it was only his 3rd season. He is still a top 5 QB, and the best in the NFC.
@@Dontthink790 stop bro lmao you see how he plays when he doesn’t have all star players around him 😂😂😂 that’s the real Purdy but I give it to the talent around him they made him look real good
@@DMB2057 yeah he was still 7th in QBR with a patchwork o-line, inexperienced RBs and down his #1 target from last season. And this is only his 2nd full season.
They better get him a better offensive line!
they'll probably give him that, they caved in for the other players
they're throwing $ away instead of trying to make the team better, smdh
the yorks don't know wtf they're doing
Reminiscent of Carson Wentz... in the running for MVP 1 year, got paid, now trash
Brock didn't lose the SB, ST and DF lost the SB. Brock is way better than some of the top QBS, period. I really get tired of listening to this crap about Brock. All QBS struggle at times.
He didn’t win the Super Bowl either, not being the direct cause of a loss is not an acceptable standard for a franchise QB… not for nothing but you’re the type of basic fan that the Yorks are pandering too because it keeps them profitable but the team losers.
Did you hear that in the locker room, or were you too distracted checking out the players?
Folks commenting on here trust a realtor and a journalist. Listen to people who get paid to evaluate football players. If ya need a house call Ryan.... if ya need some help with journalism or TH-cam Grant is your guy.
20 other teams will pay him that for sure. Money is not an object because you could move the pay off. Butter finger Akyuk is the bad signing.
