Hey guys, welcome to episode 6 of Man Bun Monthly where we talk everything man bun and give tips and tricks to keep your man bun looking its best!
The messy man bun has been a highly requested video since the launch of Man Bun Monthly and seeing as I haven’t done a tutorial in a while, I thought shock you with one this month.

As far as a Messy Man Bun Tutorial goes, I like to keep it simple. Although compared to a lot of the other messy man bun tutorials I’ve seen out there, mine is a little complicated.
I like to call it being messy with tact. You see, when I do a messy man bun I always make sure I have a nice element of sag in the back, with a tidy top and I ALWAYS use bobby pins to form my man bun.
You’ll see how I do it in this tutorial and I’m sure you’ll find it useful.

The Longhair's hair ties for guys is pretty legit! I ordered 3 packs back in January & they're still in great shape! They do stretch out after a while of usage which is expected, but they still work nonetheless. Compared to hair ties from the stores, they don't rip (at least not yet for me), better colors & designs, less hair pulling/ripping. I thought they were pretty pricey at first, but it's well worth it!

@@thomasinaction Yeah my hair is also the same, length is below nipples and super straight and i try tie a messy hair bun the way you do but there is way too much slack and left over hair so im struggling to find a way i can do it with my hair, maybe i need to go to some hair specialist so they can show me >.

Yeah the bobby-pins are essential. I’ve tried countless times to make it work quickly with just a tie but it always falls flat after a bit of movement at the gym or even just the wind.

I have a bit of a wonky hairline just like Thomas whenever I put my hair up as well and I'm super super self conscious about it so I always sorta move the hairs to cover it up but seeing Thomas rock it and be so confident and shit really makes me feel better about myself

The only reason you did was because you have one too, and you start to compare yourselves to others. That’s a no go. I hoping to have a full man bun by the start of 2019, the back can fit in but the sides need to grow out a bit more but it’s taking ages but I just need to be patient I guess

I had my hair until below my nipples years ago. Decided to shave it all off in 2018 and grow it back again. I am passed shoulder length again now. It really takes most people around a year or 3 to grow it really long so hang in tight ^^

He dosent dye his hair, so that might be a tad too difficult request for him as hes not really used to that topic for all I know.
If I could recommend you anything it would be to search a video that suits your needs on youtube, there are a lot of videos made by profesionals covering that topic.
That's going to be difficult for me because I don't die my hair, so I just don't know.

I've started to mostly only wash my hair with water and it's more shiny and has much better curls and also seems to be getting lighter, before it was very dark brown and it seems to be getting a little lighter, i dont even use products to style more of the time, just use conditioner every 3 or 4 days.

Can you do a look with the hair parted? Also u should experiment with different hair colours!
Hair parted and down or in a bun? Colours ruin my hair, otherwise I'd be all over it!
@@thomasinaction in a bun and down. Cos im self conscious of having my hair pulled back so I always have it parted to cover my forehead more. Do like a video on hairstyles that hide forehead. Or something also the lines of that. Have you used Olaplex? That prevents damage when colouring by protecting the hair bonds.

Hey is it possible that my hair is too long for a man bun? I work as a roofer and normally tie my in a pony when I work but lately its been irritating me and getting in my way. My hair is 24 inches eyeballing it and really thick and if you could give me some advice that would be awesome

It’s my 9 month of growing my hair out and My part is down the middle instead of it just going all back. With it going down the middle would that slow the process of being able to tie it in a bun or would it be the same time lapse if my hair went back

Guys,im growing out my hair and its been like 6 months now. Is it normal that i get a decent amount of hairfall throught the day? Like whenever i run my hands through my hair,there will be at least 2-3 hair each time. It happens more whenever i oil or wash it tho.. Help me please. Thank you
Yeah. Running your hands through your hair will do that. Just try not to do it super hard or do it too often. Two or three ain't a big deal. But if you start seeing a bunch more, ask a professional. But for now, you're fine. It's natural.

Tell them your reasons, if they don't listen or don't accept that it's not your responsibility to make them understand. I understand the desire but in the end it's only about hair, and not everybody has to agree.
