It's because of ignorance and insecurity some religious fanatics spread hatred. Such poor souls have either not understood or wrongly interpreted the holy scriptures.

Shine De leon You don't need to know the tradition or rules to arrange puja in your house. Just do what your mind wishes, keep concious that your motto is to welcome the supreme power who is behind the all of this universe. love all living beings and all the elements that we use in our daily life. He/she prayss the best who loves the best. in this state what you are doing is called puja/pooja.

Chanting the divine name of the God /Goddesses is easier and holier than the holiest. Some mantras need initiation from a Guru. However the following mantra anyone chant anywhere anytime without any restrictions. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. May the Almighty God bless you with true unconditional faith and devotion 🙏 😊 😇 🙌

Dear brother, in Bhagavad Gita Lord says that I am love. Love is devotion. Love is true worship. If you love God with sincere heart you are worshipping him the best way. All other rituals are only to help you to love God. Don't get mislead by Hippocratic worshipers. Ask God he will guide you.

Its based on aura/pranamaya kosha/subtle body. The deity's prana absorbs part of the food's prana. When you eat, your prana absorbs the food prana. Now both diety and your prana have a bit of common prana (ie) from food. This makes a connection with the deity. As you progress, the deity will appear in your dreams and protect and nurture you in various ways. In advanced level of progress, the deity will physically manifest and eat the food as is mentioned in the life stories of many saints.
You can eat any food, but before eating, with intense concentration offer it mentally to your deity. This would deepen the connection. In fact, make it a sadhana to always pray to your deity and offer it mentally. You can be anywhere in the world, physical proximity doesnt matter.

  • @Pawankhera
    @Pawankhera 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Excellent explanation!!! I would like to present my observation as follows:
Concept of Hinduism is monotheist not polytheist. Its often misinterpreted as monotheist religion because Hinduism is such an old religion a way of life, it has witnessed lot of teachers which we call God, gurus, etc. God is one and we as human being see him in different form. The GOD or any guru which we relates to or the one which answers our query about spiritual presence becomes our guru and later worshiped as GOD. Its very true that in Hinduism, followers do idol worship, however the concept is well explained in this video regarding the philosophy behind it.

    Prabhupada In Bhagawad Gita
“ As It Is “ says we can go beyond the act of offering our food to Krshna.
We can picturise the actual act of the lord partaking our offering in our minds.
So depending on how one has developed their relationship with the lord, the act of offering and the actual act of the lord eating can be visualised. One can be cooking the lord’s food, one can be serving, one can be seated and eating with the lord or one can be feeding the lord.
I am in absolute bliss when I offer my food to the lord and then dream of the act of feeding the food on my plate to Infant Krshna. I used to do it with my daughter and now feeding the lord sitting on my lap is one my daily joys.
Thank you Prabhupada Guruji and Lord Krshna …….🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    • @Spiritualbee
      @Spiritualbee  9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Deep Biswas we don't develop evenly. Sometimes we may see a person is very good in one aspect but quite bad in another and that is because this person is still evolving. His or her development is still incomplete.

    • @MrDeepMukherjee
      @MrDeepMukherjee 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

+Deep Biswas God is 'Love', attainment of God is in the unification of oneself with the Universe(humans, animals and objects)through 'Love'. Hence a person can't be devoted to God and still look down upon poor people. A person chanting mantras may not be a devotee but may only be another human being looking for material gains.

    • @chatwithvarun
      @chatwithvarun 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Deep Biswas Answer according to our Puranas is NO.. offer a portion to god and give away the rest to the needy. You may not visit a temple if you help anyone in need. Needy need not be a poor begger, it can be an old uncle who you help with lifting a heavy bag in the market or standing by a lonely woman and making her feel secure (without asking for any return)

a nice work done by you. in think slightly diffrently. as you know a devoti prays god just not for god. but for his own development.and the whole thing happens in the devoties mind as said by swami sivanand.this the case of thourougly faith.the lord or the god touches the food or not i dont know but i know one thing it is my mind, my BHAV which toches the food and god.which change the belief of my mind.because every offering food to god are not getting the change in the test in prasd. only few are there getting that.
and they are pure hearted, devotional persons who are blessed by god.

Hello I have a different way of understanding the significance of a "Prasad" in our traditions,I thought I might share it with you. I'll begin by saying in India temples are not only places of worship but play a very important role in people's daily lives and the prasad which is offered to God is later on distributed to the masses, which is a way of social service by the temples, therefore any offering made by the devotees in the name of the God will reach the people and also once the offering is made the devotee has disowned the food, therefore it also removes the factor of a person as an individual offering the food as it eventually reaches the people as the food consumed by the God. Pls. feel free to comment.
    Dhanyavaad .

Regarding God appearing in physical form, I feel it would also comprise ants, insects and other beings that eat them as all their form is that of the manifestation of God. ?.and about interesting and common scenes where snakes and other animals seem to intentionally drink milk or food offered to a deity, or worship a deity. This supposedly happens as divine beings at times take form or 'possess' these beings to perform some act as stated :).

Hello Vinnith bhai! sorry for the late reply, i got a bit tied up. Sri Ramakrishna did give prasad to a cat because he saw the divine mother in its soul as well. So yes God exists in all creatures. One just needs an evolved consciousness to actually see and realize this fact.

You post some really amazing videos and your ability to explain is awesome :) Anyways I have a question? Is this tradition of "offering" a part of "Bhakti Yoga"? And if so what i dont get is if god is infinite consciousness and is beyond polar opposites of good and evil, pleasure and pain etc then why does he care if we "love" him or not? I mean isn't consciousness by its very nature supposed to be devoid of anything? Also cwhen lord krishna tells arjuna to do karma yoga by offering all actions unto him is it the same as offerings that we give to the temple? Thanks in advance for your reply, keep up the good work :)

Nice work, I would love to write about my view related to this video----
Even to understand and realize this concept of omnipresent infinite consciousness, it needs very high degree of devotion. It don't come from an ordinary logic, its far beyond the boundary of logic and intellect. Infinite ocean of divine consciousness is existing throughout the universe, in its omnipresent nature. We are not separated beings from this infinite consciousness from the point of spirit, rather we are in it, we are part of it and we are it itself, like the different waves in the same ocean, though appear separated but they are the same ocean. Similarly, we look separated from the infinite consciousness by this body and mind structure. By crossing the boundary of body and mind, if we can land and live in the field of spirit which is our true nature, then we can really feel this oneness with the universal consciousness. Now this omnipresent consciousness can interact with the sincere devotees coz he is existing in the field of oneness for the time being. When one will be able to hold a clean and sincere heart, with continuous and patient effort, then actually he will be able to feel the oneness with the Infinite consciousness and he can feel its presence coz he himself will be in that state for the moment. So Its all about being and becoming one with the Infinite consciousness in order to realize it. Otherwise we cannot understand it just by the Panchendriya reasoning, it can lead upto few steps only. One has to know about the nature of the spirit or consciousness both personal and universal, u have to learn to discriminate about the eternal and temporary truths about life. Dont expect u will see this kind of things with ur eyes and play with ur hands, rather, u will develop a superfine perception with time about the higher truths in this field. But as mentioned in this video, the customs, rituals always help for the beginners, worldly minded people to develop the attitude of gratefulness, sharing, compassion etc. which in turn will lead one to the level of feeling oneness with the universal consciousness or being and becoming a God Man.

Adolfo Cortez no dear, whatever language you pray in, God will understand as he can read your thoughts. Languages merely express thoughts in words. For example when one feels very angry one can't even find the words sometimes to express this feeling. So words and language are immaterial. Thoughts and emotions are what matter. And more than anything God is within each of us as the Soul of our soul. So feel free to converse with him in any language you feel comfortable.

A story related to the above topic which is helpful for better understanding

suppose a mother has 3 children .. in order to make mother happy a more powerful child goes and kills the less fortunate child who cant talk .. packs it in precious gift paper and puts some designs on the gift .. goes to mother and offers the gift to mother ... mother opens it .. now you answer what will be reaction of mother will she accept it just because u have added ur so called love or will she be angry that you cuased a grt deal of pain to what she created
now you will ask what vegetariansims
think of your body .. what is more painfull chopping ur hands off or chopping ur hair off ... chopping ur hair off is more convenient cos it comes under dead part ..
similar way we hindus only used to eat plantts fruits which were alreadfy fallen .. but now te time is such that every thing has changed but still it is less painfull for a plant than to kill a animal .. one must hear and see the pain they undergo ... they try their best to speak but they cant and we take advantage of that .. later in hell we are also forced to go thriugh same procedure ..
      hope u got ur answer

If your food is falling out your hands or roti (chapati) is falling from your hands when you take it off the tava or outcof your hands god goddess is giving you a sign that you put food once a month on a full moon day infront of them. Then you have as parshaad. This is direct from the divine when they tell their devotees in their dreams or people who have direct communication with the divine. Love & light. Every incarnation of God is already mentioned in the scripture. And there is only one God Krishna. Quotation from the Vedanta Sutra.
    ŚB 1.3.28
    ete cāṁśa-kalāḥ puṁsaḥ
    kṛṣṇas tu bhagavān svayam

    ŚB 1.3.28
    TRANSLATION:
All of the above-mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions or portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is the original Personality of Godhead. All of them appear on planets whenever there is a disturbance created by the atheists. The Lord incarnates to protect the theists.

JAYA JAYA SHRI KRUSHNA! A devotee believes that God accepts and eats the offerings of the devotees. This belief is important. In Gita, my Lord says, 'Patram, Pushpam, Falam, Toyam ..........ashnami prayatmanam.' 'Ashnami' means 'I eat'. God says, He eats. After this, there must be no doubt. Hence, there is no need of this explanation because, it presumes a doubt. So, this is an offence against God. The video should be removed. HARI BOL!

We all are a part of the godhead so in the way alone yes he was a incarnated God. But he was on a spiritual journey to being closer to God.he not god God himself and is not worthy of worship.he stayed in the temples and begged to see the form of kali.further proving he is not God that he was in a path just like us all.yea he was more closer more enlightened than most.and anyone that follows his teaching we draw closer to the God head.just because one does as he does don't mean his soul wont have other physical lifes.that's up to his soul not him the personality or his students or followers.so I dont understand why anyone would worship his image.he was a student himself not like he came with knowledge like with Krishna.

It is incorrect to make blanket statements to include 'every religion and every prophet'. People should be well-informed to know that Hinduism does not have prophets and neither do Buddhism and Jainism. Only Abrahmic ones have them and they DO NOT believe in all this. And since the entire principle is based on a personal internalised BELIEF it is incorrect to include any non-hindus into this concept. In theory anything can happen due to past karmas. But that is not what this particular subject is about. Many of these old swamis did not understand that even though they had many personal spiritual acheivements. Many newer converts to other religions carry over their Hindu beliefs and so you may see a hotch potch version of the same which adds to the confusion. Please see videos by Ravi Malhotra for more eye-opening info.

But you are wasting food and resources. I don't mean to be rude by saying this but this thought crosses my mind everyday.
You see I live amongst 1000s of people who offer food to idols, twice a day. There is a shrine literally 2 minutes away from me. Every single day, with my own eyes I see people come and clean the shrine because of all these insects/mice and then throw the food away.
I've estimated $300 per month gets thrown away. Multiply that by 12 months, then multiply that by year's.
And of course I don't mean no disrespect, if you think it's rational and logical and you're happy then so be it.

I actually want to know why do we worship Guru instead of GOD as the Gurus themselves did. Also putting idol of GURU as another GOD. Gurus were also human who realized God , definitely they are great but are not for worship. Or this concept might be like worship everyone who realized GOD.
Secondly why to keep idol when the Truth is GOD is Everywhere, why don't we follow the truth why do we need any photo or Idol to worship him, why don't we pray him as he is (everywhere) from anywhere .
Expecting positive comments, only for the purpose of discussion to know the Truth.

Lol, the reasoning behind it not being far fetched is simply because there have been some subjective accounts of it occurring...simply a case of rationalisation as opposed to reasoning. This is a poor representation of Vedantic philosophy.

    "He is bodyless and pure."

    "Andhatama pravishanti ye asambhuti mupaste"
"They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements" (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). "They sink deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti."

Watch this video to understand that idol worship is not worshiping the stone or some natural element like air water etc,
And that God is both formless and with form as the yogis like sri ramakrishna have confirmed with their spiritual experiences.
