I was at Ullevi 29-07 last year, in the Feuerzone. Nothing compares to it, especially after "Pussy". All your senses as well as your brain gets kicked around during that. It is extreme; like a really good shaq actually. You are left exhausted and happy. This band is beyond description. Iggy Pop said about is; "They handed me earplugs and said 'you will need this'. I was like 'naaah'. I put in the earplugs and I was still too loud, my hole body was shaking."
Thanks for reaction! Enjoyed it, and I see you did too 😉 While it is not their best song and lyrics are quite cringy, the stage show is absolutely amazing! I have been several times to their show and Pussy was absolutely the best entertaining part, people in front of the stage went totally mental! And I really missed Pussy this year, hope they will come back with it in following years!
Having survived first row at a Rammstein concert I can report that foam shooting cannon is quite fun, everybody around me was having fun. I hope they start playing it again live once this s**t storm is over.
So I was at the second concert in Vienna last Thursday. And a lot of fans around me were complaining that they don't play "Pussy" now with the situation as it is. They really love it. Have to confess I don't like it much. Have to admire Till's nonchalant delivery though.
It's become something of a staple in their concert set list and was sorely missed at several concerts by fans on the current European tour. Is the cannon tacky? If course it is, but to me it underlines the tacky nature of sex tourism which is what the song is about. Funny you should mention the drum fills on the live. For me, drums make it break a song as a rule so it's great to hear Schneider being given some freedom to do what he does best. He's one of their e band members who prefers performing live to recording, sees it as a true test of musicianship. It's a fair comment really when you consider how much can be tweaked or altered in a studio. Glad you chose this live for your celebration, congratulations btw.
