Assasin- re routes imperial guard patrol to run into legion Legion takes an unknown shortcut to avoid Machinery along the shortcut go boom Alpha whispers over assasins shoulder when he’s looking at computer “ man you sure put a lot of work into this trap, but did you know we were in the room with you all along?” Assasin “why yes I did” drops down concealed trap door as door to room is kicked in and imperial guard toss in grenades

House Venenum: Does this taste funny to you ? *everything in the room melts into goo 5 seconds later * House Vanus: We make everyone want to assassinate you for us! Even worse...we have to remember it can shapeshift as well. Also I think this would work best in a story where the dark eldar (and a few others) are the protagonists. Having the dark eldar being intrigued, getting sadistically creative, then entering a panic when the creature that they also enhanced with the work of their haemonculi and then placed in the pits is not contained. Resulting in the dark eldar wyches and karbalites having to put aside old vendettas to prevent their socity being turned into food for the monster they unleashed from stasis.
Well, it's quite a bit later and not exactly what you whished for, BUT there's a really good new book by Robert Rath with a similar premise. It's about a team of Assassins, consisting of a Vindicare, a Callidus and a Vanus having to infiltrate the complicated society of an Imperial-Knight house, take out it's high monarch and install a new leader. It's called Assassinorum Kingmaker.

I was lead to believe the Old Ones were the apex of genetic engineering, that the Necrontyrs developed the best machinery, that the Aeldari were superior to all in manipulating the imaterium. Guess I was wrong. Everything a xeno do well specialized humans can do better and the only reason their success doesn't spread is because of Imperial rule. When the Empire end the xenos better pray that none or those factions survive or else the technological cultures they will spread will be able to extinguish all aliens and demons.

There's like one offs where someone does something amazing but generally in the current era the imperium is basically just surviving off the scraps of what it can dig up (stcs and relics), the Old Ones were the dominant species and the Necrotyr were their self made equals. But that was millions of years ago, and then the Eldar had their time before their fall. That's what gave old humanity the chance to step up, but that took a long time but the Men of Iron revolted, psychers happened, and basically humanity couldn't sustain it's empire anymore. Big E did his best to stablize humanity but there's no way 40k humanity is superior to xenos...the war of the beast kinda proves that humans are kinda mid tier, but like I said there's one offs, like cawl and the assisasinorim making a super killer tyranid monster. If anything the tau are the only ones expanding their reach...but in the end we all know it's gonna Orkz and Tyranids that are gonna be the last ones standing. Arch should do a tier list to be honest

True. OneMindSyndicate simply read from the wiki in a manner so dry it makes a lecture by your least favourite teacher seem entertaining, while MajorKill just swears for the sake of swearing, with little finesse or actual wit to it.
True, Arch also uses curses frequently, but he wraps the curses in metaphors and descriptions to lighten up his narration, or to get a particular point across.
Heck, Grimdark Narrator also just reads from the wiki, but at least he doesn't simply read it all off the page, and actually *narrates*, while also adding his own comments here and there to make it more organic, and encourages his viewers to discuss the topic in the comments. Discussions he also chimes in.
Venomin, when in doubt crack open a stasis pod with a Catachan Barking Toad and run like Hell. I'm sure at least one of their temples is on that particular death world.

The only temple that can pull off both surgical removals like the vindicare and culexus, and still be able to go full eversor if the situation requires it.

Temple Venenum is receiving some interesting looks from the Deathguard and the Haemonculi.
Vanus is my fave. There’s a wonderful story in the Horus heresy of a vanus operative facing off against a squad of alpha legion.

catsareevil101 I would love a small scale methodical spy thriller novel with a team of a venenum, a vanus, and a callidus, maybe in contact with a Secretum higher up. Having to navigate politics and court intrigue while piecing together a larger mystery.
Or maybe a book from the perspective of an eldar, or some other non human faction having to snuff out a newly deployed Maerorus Unit. Make it kind of like a reverse Alien or Preditor. Where the alien is the one having to hunt down and compete with this odd monstrous “human thing”. It would be a great trope reversal where the imperium is not in fact the POV, but is actually the daunting other. Get us to get into an eldar mentality and stuff.
Also love the Maerorus design, has a real Evangelion feel to it. Works well since it’s some Human/xeno hybrid. It’s lanky in that monsterously familiar way.
Even worse...we have to remember it can shapeshift as well. Also I think this would work best in a story where the dark eldar (and a few others) are the protagonists. Having the dark eldar being intrigued, getting sadistically creative, then entering a panic when the creature that they also enhanced with the work of their haemonculi and then placed in the pits is not contained. Resulting in the dark eldar wyches and karbalites having to put aside old vendettas to prevent their socity being turned into food for the monster they unleashed from stasis.
Well, it's quite a bit later and not exactly what you whished for, BUT there's a really good new book by Robert Rath with a similar premise. It's about a team of Assassins, consisting of a Vindicare, a Callidus and a Vanus having to infiltrate the complicated society of an Imperial-Knight house, take out it's high monarch and install a new leader. It's called Assassinorum Kingmaker.

So if someone is really committed and has the resources in 40k they could make say...a monster so terrifyingly good at violence Khorne deamons throw in the towel....but Arch tells it better.
I was lead to believe the Old Ones were the apex of genetic engineering, that the Necrontyrs developed the best machinery, that the Aeldari were superior to all in manipulating the imaterium. Guess I was wrong.
Everything a xeno do well specialized humans can do better and the only reason their success doesn't spread is because of Imperial rule.
When the Empire end the xenos better pray that none or those factions survive or else the technological cultures they will spread will be able to extinguish all aliens and demons.
@@DanielChico09 well I mean you're kinda right though, in current 40k the imperium is...well to say it's a shadow of its former self is generous. There's like one offs where someone does something amazing but generally in the current era the imperium is basically just surviving off the scraps of what it can dig up (stcs and relics), the Old Ones were the dominant species and the Necrotyr were their self made equals. But that was millions of years ago, and then the Eldar had their time before their fall. That's what gave old humanity the chance to step up, but that took a long time but the Men of Iron revolted, psychers happened, and basically humanity couldn't sustain it's empire anymore. Big E did his best to stablize humanity but there's no way 40k humanity is superior to xenos...the war of the beast kinda proves that humans are kinda mid tier, but like I said there's one offs, like cawl and the assisasinorim making a super killer tyranid monster. If anything the tau are the only ones expanding their reach...but in the end we all know it's gonna Orkz and Tyranids that are gonna be the last ones standing. Arch should do a tier list to be honest

Vrax should’ve had Venonum assassins instead of Vindicare. A few poison-plagues would’ve done well to show the populace the consequences of turning from the Emperor’s Light, and encouraged them to rethink who was actually the blessed vs heretical bunch in the sector.

Konrad Curze is the image of Dracula, long cascades of dark hair, pale complexion, sharp talons, and for some reason I can see him speaking with a Transylvanian or even Russian accent. One of Konrad's inspirations is theorised to be Vlad the Impaler, and Konrad looks the part of the Vampire that was inspired off his myth: Count Dracula.
Sanguinius meanwhile, while yes looks a lot like the Archangel Michael, paints his duality that perhaps he is the "hot" Lucifer material. Sanguinius' rage and blood thirst is what he is, Lucifer fell not into sin because of outside interference but because it is who he is, it is what they are.

Somehow I think Vanus should be the only or at least highest temple. Having a fetish for information aside they are fairly well adjusted and might only cause problems with time sensitive matters when they are still analysing the carpets and an eversor would have solved the issue already.

Later the whole task force of the Imperial Guard and, Holy Fleet arrived in Opis System to crush the rebellion on Opis. The last but not least Imperial Fists Veterans landed on Opis. Then the war started for real.
