@@Slurpee_Burger I dont use plex. I use a custom solution that runs in a docker container on my nas. I belive plex is the one finished solution to rin .ISO though. I've been told it can do it, but i haven't had any luck getting it to do it so i made my own solution.

I just got done having a really weird issue on my Dell Precision M4800 laptop where it could not read the source disc. Neither my internal DVDRW drive nor an external LG DVDRW drive would work. For some reason, opening VLC and selecting "open disc" and letting the DVD movie play a little allowed the DVD to ISO process to complete successfully.
wow thanks so much this one is very simple to use also free (sure as you mentioned takes time depending on the size and what type it's etc.) but it does works and i have some old games and as you said there are few games you cannot find / get anymore so its nice to have a copy on your usb drive or somethings even though is just an .iso but again thanks so much was looking for a solution and this was it :)
Does this work if the disc is DRM protected? Its helpful for old games that hasnt been stored to GOG website yet. I just think its handy for old PC Games that i dont want to carry around interms of Optical CD/DVD reader

Discs like gamecube discs are protected against just ripping iso's like that Most likely you'd need to hack the original console (maybe a console with backward compatibility idk) and rip an iso from there. You might be able to do that with a wii
I’m trying the same. I’m trying to make a digital copy of my disc so I can use it on my non-GameCube compatible Wii as the Wii disc drive just spits it out and none of the disc slots on different PCs are helping + InfraReader can’t read it.

mine had a lot of errors but the file size is the exact same and it completed reading the disk do i have to worry about the errors? cuz i want to dual boot my system but i dont have space for a nother drive and i want to copy windows 7 on to an iso so that i can replace the dvd reader with a nother drive

I'd keep it on your actual hard drive, not the thumb drive. But yeah, in modern versions of Windows/OS X/Linux, you just double-click the ISO file and it will mount it as if you had put the CD/DVD in and it'll work just like that.
EposVox normally i would keep it on the main drive but i only have a 32 gig drive and it is almost full. so thats why i was wondering if i could run it off a thumbdrive

One correction. DVD and CD discs ARE digital storage. You just move the files from one digital media to another.

If you want already created iso files for all windows versions Server and Client try the Microsoft evaluation centre. They last 6 months.

The Wii doesn't actually use CD *or* DVD, so you might want to look into just buying an external drive that will read Wii discs.

Tried on GTA Vice City 2 discs CD tried copying Play Disc got into forever read error couldnt finish it sadly and didnt work either :(

most DVD are 7GB and blue rays range from 25 to 100 GB so you'll need a big 8TB of storage! but very well worth it !! I recommend a must !!!!!!!!
