  • Having traveled the all-ceramic road for over thirty years, I have a great appreciation for some of our current high-strength ceramic options such as e.max, Suprinity, Amber Mill, and Celtra. Two universal stain and glaze systems that are working well on these ceramic systems are Ivocolor by Ivoclar, and MiYO by Jensen. This video is my technique for using Ivocolor for characterizing the incisal edge of e.max.

    If that is a CEREC anterior crown, how did you get the surface texture?

    Do the other brands of LD2 come with stains and glazed or can you use the ivoclar products on the other brands?

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ivocolor can be used on other brand ceramics. Another coloring stain and glaze system that works even better is MiYO my Jensen and is universal for ceramic and zirconia.

    Do you use object fix to fire at the end? Or do you leave it on the perforated pad you set it on?

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For crystallization Object Fix is indicated, once crystalized, will still use a firing paste such as Object fix for a full crown. For veneer, I usually use a honeycomb tray and lay the veneer down with diamond hemostats. All the best!

      Yes, but less aesthetic control. I do place pre-color stain and glaze for posterior e.max though.

    please doctor can we use ivocolor with emax cad crowns🙏

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, I have used Ivocolor with e.max for years, both on pre-crystalized and after. However, MiYO 850 is so much better... a game changer in aesthetic results.

    Did you bake every time that you set a color or just paint all as one ?

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With Ivocolor and MiYO products, colors can be added at one time and fired. This will save a lot of time. Ivocolor is used in the video. MiYO is now my preferred product. MiYO application technique is similar to Ivocolor,

    hi James, which one is shade 02? do ou mean essence 02?

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      02 is the base shade option, in the A2 range. Base shades are the premixed pastes and range from SD 0 to SD 8

    Wonderful artwork! How do you print 3d models for this kind of work? regards from Austria

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Currently, I am using the Asiga printer. The exported STL file can be processed in software like inLab by Dentsply Sirona or Meshmixer, then transferred over to the Composition printing software of Asiga. The two top printers for model accuracy is Carbon or Asiga. The Asiga is much more affordable for a dental office.

    • @zahnarztordinationdr.rudol3310
      @zahnarztordinationdr.rudol3310 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KlimDDS Thanks! I also heard of the Asiga and closing the STL files... sounds a bit complicated. I started with Cadcam one week ago with Primescan/mill so maybe it's a little early with InLab after just getting used to Cerec 5.2 at the moment :-)

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zahnarztordinationdr.rudol3310 Several options, send the STL file to a digital lab. It is a minimal fee for the printable model. They are accurate. I use them for finishing my larger cases. Best of wishes in your Primescan journey. If you would like more sampling education, go to my www.cadstar.org website and view the complimentary lessons called CEREC Kick Start. There is also a yearly membership option. All the best.
