Thanks! I have been watching you for years, and like all of your camp out and hikes, also your canal series. I let you take me places I can know longer go because of my health and age. Thank you Cliff!
That last view I thought was best. Lots of mountains to see and they are distinct. What a lovely area. I wouldn’t even have got up the cement stairs it was far too close. Those see thru ones make my heart thump badly. Vertigo is not fun. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
I live in the Poconos, but glad to see you in my home state. Originally from western Mass, and was at Mt. Greylock many years ago. Thanks for this beautiful video!
My Greylock is a favorite place. Driven it many times, hiked from the south once and camped on the mountain once. I guess I better get out there again, only two hours drive from where I am currently living.
Don't feel bad Cliff, I wouldn't have done those steps either! I, too, have a fear of heights so I can definitely empathize with ya! Views from outside were fantastic so I'll count myself lucky to have seen that!
I suppose we all have our strengths an weaknesses. I'm sure I could have done those steps easily. . . . on the flip side, Cliff sure doesn't have any problem wiggling through caves, tunnels, and crevices. If I were in a tunnel / cave and saw all those "cave crickets" clinging onto the ceiling*, I'd be out of there so fast my hat would still be spinning where I had been standing, like you see in a cartoon! *(reference to a previous WW video where the ceiling of a tunnel was covered in cave crickets and Cliff just walked right through them - - - actually he's posted several videos like that.)
Perspective is tricky. From up above, the mountains below tend to flatten out in appearance. From halfway up this mountain, you’re able to see the profiles of nearby mountains in a whole different & more dramatic side view. This phenomenon happens when flying in an airplane, too. Past a certain altitude, no large ridges or hills stand out the same way as seeing them from the ground. Great video. Enjoy Vermont! 👍🏻👌🏼
Welcome to Mass. Mt. Greylock is a great hike and glad you liked the views. If you like this you need to get to Mt. Washington in NH on a clear day. Looking forward to next.
Yeah it does remind ya of west Virginia. My hubby drove truck thru there for almost a year, course I rode a few times. This also reminds me of South eastern PA too. But yeah, all beautiful states
Hi Cliff, whoa those are some really beautiful views, wow. The memorial looks amazing, it does kind of remind me of a Rook chess piece though. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
Great views! Thanks for taking us along. I would have liked to see the views from the top of the watchtower just as you would have but I would not have enjoyed watching you climb those stairs any more than you would have enjoyed climbing them! I almost began hyperventilating as soon as I realized you were going to attempt it. Wishing you more great views and safe travels.
Admittedly, I've never heard of Mount Greylock before this popular horror series called Greylock uses it as an important location. Seeing it here, it's something I really want to check out! The scenery is gorgeous and the memorial is very cool :)
Big nope for me on those metal spiral steps. I can do Scargo Hill on Cape Cod I think there are 39 of them. Thanks for the wonderful views. I have lived here 60 years and never been out to the Berkshires
Almost stopped here on my way back from a Vermont camping trip a few years ago, wish i had now it looks really cool. Your going to love Vermont the mountains are so beautiful and there main roads are like our country roads its so neat. We did stop at Berry Pond in Pittsfield State forest there is a beautiful overlook there as well in Massachusetts.
I've been following a couple of AT thru hikers this year on YT. I've seen that tower/memorial in their videos. Beautiful! The views on the road up are amazing! Wondering if that group of hikers by the road were AT thru hikers. 🤔
I live close by. When my daughter was around 8 or so, we walked to the top of the tower. She was fine going up the spiral staircase, but freaked and didn't want to go down.
Anyone in the area find the sticker? I live in Dalton Massachusetts and was thinking about taking a trip up there. The views at the top of that tower is what you were looking for. Just close your eyes and go for it up them stairs. Lol
He has. He had issues with that spiral stair case. When I was 4 or 5, I can remember the spiral stair case to my dad's office. Coming down them I would fall every time. Was so happy when they tore that building down.

This is odd I live in north adams😭
Unrelated but,
Something lurks beneath Mount Greylock.
Not all who wander are lost.
*Not all who is lost wanders*
- creepy static Greylock vibes
Back to normal 🙂💀
Whatever you do, don’t go into the mountain, regardless of temptation…
Otherwise, let me guess unspeakable horrors and demons created
Thanks! I have been watching you for years, and like all of your camp out and hikes, also your canal series. I let you take me places I can know longer go because of my health and age. Thank you Cliff!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful videos. They are especially great for us who can't go places because of not having money or a good car to go far.

Beautiful views from up there!
Cliff beautiful views. Thanks for sharing and getting as far up as you felt comfortable in the tower.
What a view! Gorgeous area of MA! Awesome trip this has been for you! Keep making memories & adventure on! ~Karen & Shannon WOY
What a great adventure! Beautiful views. Thanks for bringing us along.
The view from Greylock is fantastic. I actually thought this was going to be a hiking video on the AT!! I guess Naomi deserves to see the view too!

@@irefusetoaskmydoctorifyour6401 I saw the cave cricket video, and there's no way I'd go into them tight spots in the rocks. UH UH!!

I have the vertigo too. Zero shame at all. It gives me the zooms, the shakes, the light blue vision, the clammy skin. Loved the exterior view!

I agree about climbing those open type steps. I didn't make it either ! One cool thing about the mt was looking down at small planes flying by
Admittedly, I've never heard of Mount Greylock before this popular horror series called Greylock uses it as an important location. Seeing it here, it's something I really want to check out! The scenery is gorgeous and the memorial is very cool :)
We camp in Newfane VT. Gorgeous state. Can’t wait for you to see it.

Beautiful 🥰 my daughter and her husband and son live in a small town not far between Boston and NH.

Great video, thanks for sharing. Are you coming to NH? Mt Washington is right near me.
Nice views. I guess you know to AT goes right by there. Enjoy yourself and stay well and safe.
Where to in Vermont? I am going camping there in October. Woodford State park, near Bennington. It is the highest elevation park in Vermont.
Live here. Go up to Summitt all the time. Snowboard the thunderbolt many times. Cold up there in winter!!
incredible door n View man
That’s almost like being at the top of Pikes Peak looking down at Colorado Springs.
I'm from Narragansett R.I. in Florida now, I miss Little Rhody.
I live close by. When my daughter was around 8 or so, we walked to the top of the tower. She was fine going up the spiral staircase, but freaked and didn't want to go down.
Did anyone find the sticker ?? I live in the next town over 🥰🥰 I see that tower every night ❤ from my yard lol love the views
In the winter you could ski down it , if there is enough snow .
Wow
I didn't know there was a mountain this high in Massachusetts! It was okay not not to do the tower. There are other great views.
Anyone in the area find the sticker? I live in Dalton Massachusetts and was thinking about taking a trip up there. The views at the top of that tower is what you were looking for. Just close your eyes and go for it up them stairs. Lol
