This is so helpful, thank you, Mike. You are REALLY good at explaining concepts and find relevant, easy to understand examples. You are def. doing a better job than my psych research lecturer haha
Thank you, Mike! This is so eye-opening, I got really confused with those unorganized validities yet you organized them in clarity. And I have a question for you, hope you answer it soon: Is it valid if I measured the test of "Predictive TOEFL" used in my local university with a score related to the TOEFL components? And one more, do I need to compare both English major in my university (English Education and English Literature) score courses related to TOEFL components? Or it is enough to test just one of them?
Is the slide that comes up around 10:56 mark (and the accompanying narration) supposed to say "Content" where it says "construct" in first bullet point (Face+ construct)?
Hi, could I ask, if I have an experiment that seeks to measure which burger is more popular, through a forced choice survey that only allows a selection of one burger, Would that affect construct validity, considering that I have failed to account that someone may like both burgers equally much, or may dislike both burgers? Would this pertain to construct validity? Or internal validity?
Very helpful, I missed my lecture over these concepts, and I was having trouble understanding these with only definitions. Only thing I did not get from this was incremental validity.
This is very helpful! I had to do an assignment for my Psychology of Personality class and no matter what content I read, I just couldn't get a grasp of face validity to save my own life; it all just sounded like gibberish to me
In the question, "to what extent does this department have waste and inefficiency in its operation?" I am to evaluate validity and reliability.... What are your thoughts?

(Not meant as a random criticism....a well-done and very helpful video overall. Just trying to make sure I'm understanding this concept correctly.)
+Kathy Wyman Yeah, you are correct. Sorry about that; had the typo in the slide and compounded the typo by saying it incorrectly aloud!
