This was EPIC!!!!!!!! So cool of that guy to give you a hand too. Gotta love the fishing community, all in this together. Congratulations my brother!! Well done!!!!!
Thanks brother 🤙 You are right, we are all in this together, fishing connect people and that's a big thing in these days. Thanks to you for staying together 💪💪💪🤙
Hope you will have your first one very soon. I know from my experience how hard and frustrating it can be but never give up and keep searching 😁💪🎣🎣🎣 Thanks for watching 🤝
@@ManAndRod Honestly didnt really contemplate Yorkshire or over my way in the Welsh Dee - went up to the Tweed last May but it was as low as can be an not very good - got me now searching for places for next season :)
River Dee is a long river. Looked on maps, there is a lot of nice places. Should be good for salmon fishing in right conditions. All it needs, just enough water and cold enough temperatures. Hope you will find enough good spots for next season 🤞🎣🎣🎣
Amazing video! Perfect that someone turned up and helped out too. I'm still chasing my first salmon here in the West of Scotland.. It's a bit much to ask but maybe i'll get a springer this year!
Thanks 😁🤝 Yeah, it was so good that this guy was there to help. Otherwise would be so much harder to handle and take care of fish in proper way. Specially with my first salmon and all this adrenaline 😁 I hope you will get yours very soon 💪 Tight Lines 🤝🎣
Well done, what a great feeling. I cought my mine, dry fly fishing for trout, Totally unexpected, scared be to death when it took that fly.size 14 hook 5ft6 rod 6lb leader, what a fight nearly an hour to land. Memory will stay with me forever!
Thanks mate 🤝 Worked really hard so many times 😅 But finally i caught it and because of so many attempts and so much effort - all that just makes me appreciate this catch even more 😁🎣🎣🎣
Well done mate buzzing fir you. In my experience they are very susceptible to dying after capture. Kippers that have been in a while not as bad for dying as fresh run springers. Don't take out of water for more than a couple secs. . I still remember my first - was on similar lure. They're pretty devastating tho they are pretty bad for fatalities compared to other ways. If they attack blade and get hooked near gills or a couple inch back bye bye Rushdie.
Thanks mate. I took out of water just for few seconds, did everything as quick as was able to. I know they are very sensitive if something happens to their gills but luckily hooks were far away from it. I try to take care of all fish as much as i can. Maybe sometimes i do something wrong but that's where my viewers helps me by teaching me and giving some tips. Living and learning 😁🤝🎣
Well done on the September Salmon... If you want to beat that, join us on the River Wye in Herefordshire this Spring; our best was an estimated 30 to 35lbs so I'm loading a Shimano Calcutta right now 😆
I would like indeed, just not sure wirh time. If you could send me text on my Instagram, hopefully we could arrange something 😁 congratulations on your monster salmon 💪🎣
Thanks man 🤝🎣 This year season is finished and i managed to catch only one. Next season definitely I'll do some more salmon fishing. Hopefully will be more catches and videos than this season 🤞😁🎣
Great catch,be sure to hang that lure on the wall and don't use it again, buy another and use that, when your old you'll have lures on the wall that remind you of your most memorable catches, tight lines
@@ManAndRod p.s when your current baseball cap gets wrecked and your replacing it be sure to hang it up on the wall with your lures don't throw it away, you'll have a collection of hats to remind you of your adventures😊

@simonartley1645 Totally agree about single hooks. Probably would be better totally ban trebles for any kind of fishing. And i always buying salmon and sea trout license so I'm good 😁💪 Thanks for all advices 🤝 hopefully next salmon season will have enough time 🎣
How big was it ? any measurements ?😛any more info ? Interesting cast it was, did you target where to cast or just far out ? Congrats on your first Atlantic Salmon !
Thanks 🤝 I just measured with my rod and it was about 85cm. I guess about 6 kg. Not a big one but good enough for first one 😅 There was a line of stones so i did cast in front of them about 20 meters where getting slightly deeper. Wanted to work from deeper part to shallow closer to stones
Great catch. Which river is this?
Brilliant ! Fantastic example of persistence. You will never forget that first salmon - I haven't.
Never give up, just keep trying 😅🎣🎣🎣
Definitely will never forget, same as you my friend 😁🎣
