Which makes it even more fitting for Berlin, I love that. (*=not quite, hard to translate, the word is used more because of rhyming actually)
Philip Kerr wrote a series of novels about detective Bernie Gunther. The first three novels are collected in "Berlin Noir," which I recommend. I'm guessing that this musical piece was referred to in one of his novels, so I came here to hear the music.
