I stayed in those lodges at the Killyhevlin back in 1980 and 1981 on a fishing holiday hosted by the great Ian Heaps. In those days we fished short off the jetty’s and caught huge weights of bream. They must have sadly all gone now. Ian taught me to fish the slider float there too, catching nets of roach in 18’ of water across the far side but there weren’t as many boats in those days. Great to see the place again Jamie and it brought back lots of happy memories. Sad to see the fishing isn’t as good as it was 40 years ago.
