Just pulled mine all a part soon as I took the clutch off very apparent where the water was coming in cheap zip tie holding it in place starting the process now thanks for the video!
It works incredibly, I recently bought a 2013 500 model and it started to do the same thing after awhile so it looks like it’s time for this one now to be done!!lol
Wow, I always knew Polaris wasn't the highest quality, but I had no idea they had such a cheesy clutch case. No wonder it leaks. It's just basically a plastic box bolted onto the side of the engine with a factory oem zip tie around the seal!
You have an update on how well this worked? I have same bike an my belt slips anytime I go through a puddle drives me nuts. I’m in Florida too, I not far from hog Waller , plan to go if I can fix this issue
dealer just replaced my clutch seal it was gashed from factory and they replaced it and the clutch box seal and belt ( under warranty) Polaris covered it because water on belt creates premature wear
Hey there I’m here because I’m currently pulling motor and on mine there is actually a metal band that secures around gasket for primary clutch. I am curious if it’s a one time thing but yours does not have this I will keep searching.
If you grab the front of the clutch case is there any or alot of play, mine was pretty solid until I sunk it then it seemed to move in and out a bit. Lmk and thank you.
hi how are you making out with this fix at this point? i need to do something about mine. im pretty discouraged after a ride yesterday. and thinking of taking the loss and trading it if a fix cant be found. please give me some good news...lol
@@jodyb91581 I'm about to buy 850 HL and was thinking of getting the Kenda Executioners. You think it'll be a noticeable difference in power going from 47 lbs a piece tires to 30 lbs a piece?

how is it doing now? I'm getting the 2020 version and probably going to do this right away.

mines a 2022 at the dealer right now for this same stupid shit mine was sucking water in just touching the clutch case bottom but not even moving

Is there a certain way to put the primary clutch back on or does it only go on one way?
yep, only one way.

Is there enough space on that rubber boot behind the primary for a hose clamp? Or only wide enough for a zip tie?
prob just a zip tie :(
No room for hose clamp I recently tried and my clutch was hitting it once the bike was running made a horrible noise
@@kohlercody2 thanks for the update! I went with a metal zip-tie myself and its worked great!
Would it stick the clutch cover to the other side of it
How's it doing now? Have you had any issues after you put this on?

I’m sure there will be a little difference in the rotating weight. Not sure you will feel it in the seat but you very well could.
Did u relocate your battery?
No, i replaced it.
How is it holding up? Anything you would change if you did it again? Doing mine this weekend.
Arctic picks It’s all tore apart right now waiting for new parts but it held up great.
TOJE mine has a zip tie on it from factory.
i would go through puddles on mine and it would slip
