I did finally get my old account's box up and they did post the Shein and Forever 21. I did put lower end brands in my new account, and they did not post them. So, I do believe if you have an older account, you may have an exception to the lower end brands.
I will NEVER, EVER ship anything to Thredup ever again. I sent them a perfect condition Christian Dior sweater that was originally around $1200. They would not let me list the item any higher than $44…for a $1200 item!!! The sweater sold almost immediately. I don’t understand why a Christian Dior item had such a low price cap, I have had items from Madewell that were able to be listed above freaking $44. Had to have been some kind of a glitch. I contacted customer service and asked them to please review that price and they wrote back and said that price cap was ACCURATE for Christian Dior. So my finally payout for a $1200 item? $11.44. In my opinion I was ROBBED and I am sick with grief that they are able to get away with this. I have been warning everyone I know to never send them anything even remotely valuable
Thank you for the warning. Keep your mailing address correct with Threadup for the purpose of receiving information on the class action lawsuit that may come down the road.
Lots of great info here! Thank you for such good work…I am going to give it a try. I just wasn’t sure about the shipping, do you just drop it at UPS, is the label prepaid shipping?
The labels are prepaid and that will come out of your earnings. There will be a little guide sheet that comes with your label when you print it out. You can drop it off at USPS or FedEx. 😀
Great video. I still send stuff to thredup, but I do the partner kits. Ever since the delay of listing kits and the fee they take for processing your kit, I switched to that.
Thanks! I was never able to do the partner kits for whatever reason. They have really gotten better with the processing times for the boxes. Mine have been getting done in about 2-3 weeks.
I had about 5 item's..that they had a price for but gave me$ 0 payout. Example Talbots linen dress new. They had a price for $28.99 but me $0 pay out .This was under the edit my items before listing but they were never listed. Did they take my items and dont plan to pay me for them?? I waiting for an email back. I screen shotted the items because of course now that all my item's are active those items are nowhere to be found
Thread up is giving out tons of discounts to buyers and transfer the discounts to me. That means that I have payouts for under 50 cents for items that would have profited around five dollars or less. Already the payout without the discount transfers are penny on the dollar payouts and now it’s highway robbery. I will not bother with sending them anything any more just because of principle.
If you pay the $10.99 to get items back, do you still have to pay the $5.99 return for each item that doesn't sell? I'm curious if they take your old navy jeans on the old acct. Threadup seems to be their own worst enemy. I used to do a lot of business with them; buying and selling. I'm plus sized and now most plus size brands are ineligible so...they lost me. I miss them.
Yes, you would still have to pay the $5.99 a piece to get them back after not selling. I have made Thredup my last stop before donating so that i dont have to pay those fees. They did not take my Old Navy or Shein, but took a Forever 21 top. So I feel like they pick and choose who they take what from. Nothing is very consistent with them.

It would be good for newbies like me

@@MingbyAnna the partner kits are tricky. I had to google it to find it.. couldn’t find it on the ThredUP website
Thank you. Ive been wondering how this works.
So helpful! Thanks!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching

That seems weird, maybe some sort of glitch. It will be interesting to see what they say.

I don’t think it’s worth it. Their fees are way too high.
Love this kind of video 😊
Thank you! Idk if Thredup is still relevant to most resellers, but I thought I would share how it's still working for me.

Paying 5.99 an item to receive it back is non-sense! It can probably be purchased by a stranger for cheaper! SMH !
I haven't found one positive thing about this site. Straight robbery. can I send my kit back? Nolonger interested.
You could reach out to thredup and see what they say.
