ThredUp has taken a severe downturn. Sent 2 boxes in March/April. It's the end of June and it was just processed and available for sale. The second box won't be listed until mid July. The first box included a pricey top and bottom Dunia knit pant set - worn once. The bottoms are listed but where's the top??? It's been over a week with no response. (2 years ago a brand new pair of designer cowgirl boots just went missing.) Of the 30+ items, they took half. And now they charge $15 to process?? Thanks for this video - I didn't realize that they still list items and Won't give you anything for it.
"I used to dread ordering from Thredup because of unreliable sellers. 😖 Now with Ditchit, I enjoy peace of mind. Each transaction is smooth and trustworthy, making my shopping experience delightful!"
Hi Melody! What a pleasant voice you have! And I'm just delighted for your name :) I love the sound your microphone makes! Tell me, what kind of microphone do you have? I am now looking for a replacement for mine
my last box recd in Feb 2023 is missing a Layfayette dress and house of holland top. they’re looking for them. doubt they get found. not the first time items went missing
"The child noises" loll I feel that thredup rips off its seller base. In 2020 alone they made $120 million dollars in profit. So after staging, storage whatever they have a massive net profit. I do not agree with them keeping items either. I have not intention of ever selling on thredup but I feel bad for people who do.
Processing the bags are no longer free. So if you send your stuff, even with items sold, high chance you will get nothing . Even during free processing - back in the days, your return from the entire bag was $15 -20 , that’s it. Now you have to pay to process … $12-14 for many weeks to process , high chance you ll get nothing.
This is very informative! I just started using poshmark. I like that I have control over pricing, but they take a huge cut...and idk how secure it is bc I’ve been getting creepy spam messages to my phone since I signed up & had to give my phone #.
My sister's a fan of Facebook Marketplace, but I have no idea if that's good for clothing. Sorry, not much help. I rarely buy any clothing online, new or used.
I think the reason that ThredUp didn't take the tshirt as they state in the conditions that they only accept certain name brands. Loved the video! Thanks.
Sure, $3.43 might be "nothing/for free" for some, but to me it's not. I get where you're coming from, but I try to recoup money where I can from reselling my unwanted clothes (vast majority is donated tho), and unfortunately that means making someone else money. Whether that's Thredup, ebay, depop, etc. There is no perfect solution.

Ooh that sounds unpleasant. Definitely check your privacy settings! 😅

I'm so glad this video helped! Good luck with your cleanout kit!

I stopped watching when you said you made $3.43, I would definitely keep donating as I always do then sell for free ( 3.43) making them rich .
