I thought it was just baseball 😁 I'm alright with Garcia doing the Dodgers celebration after the strike outs, and the Dodgers handled it ok. The gesture toward Mookie was a bit much, but Giants were on the losing end of another 4 game sweep, in their own house! So I get it. Then Kaplan lost it for no reason other than frustration. The Dodgers doing the Wolf thing after Trea's Homer was cool! The whole dugout! I love this game!
Totally agree with you. I get Garcia, I get Mookie, I get all the players' actions in this situation. Just a part of the rivalry. No big deal, no harm done, just move on. But then Kapler just goes ballistic for no reason at all. What the hell was he complaining at the ump about?? lol

Not a lot has worked for Kapler and the Giants in 2022.

I'm a Dodger fan but Kapler exploding is reasonable. You are about to get swept and lose to the Dodgers 8 times even without any ejection but yet, they ejected your pitcher over a petty reason and you get screwed over it at your own home.

When they do that celebration like i said before they do it together as a team. nobody from the dodgers looks at the opponent mocks them. that's starting something and it can get ugly. It's a team thing. he was just a big fat baby who needed his diapers change. I thought it was embarrassing for Mookie personally, Garcia came up huge for the Giants there and does the same thing Dodgers do when they come up big... as he's walking towards his own dugout and Mookie is walking towards him, after the inning was over, pretty clear that Mookie should've been targeted for ejection too... The Giants walked straight towards the dugout yes with some jawing, but it was the Garcia ejection that was uncalled for, and Kapler had no choice but to blow up.

I’m a Dodger fan, so I’m biased. I think the SF Giants pitchers reaction Was inappropriate. The pounding of the head is just a Dodger thing. Pitchers pound their gloves after getting a big strikeout do it’s the same thing. Kaplar is frustrated. These are just athletes competing. But you never want lasting negative effects.

I've been a Dodgers fan my whole life no matter where I lived. (Dad was a boyhood pal of Walt Alston and I met Walt a couple times) While there has always been this rivalry, it has seemed to me that it was always more vitriolic from the the Giants side. When I lived in L.A. everybody just sorta said "yeah, I don't like the Giants much" But when I lived in the Bay area specifically and N.Cally in general, it was always like "I just HATE the Dodgers....HATE, HATE, HATE 'em" Given that, I sorta understand after losing two, four game, home and home sweeps, that the Giants were embarrassed and might be a little touchy.
I lived in the Bay Area for a few years during the Candlestick era. Only the Expos had worse attendance than the Giants in those days. But they sold out whenever the Dodgers were in town.
I think everyone has different experiences. Being a Giants fan in SoCal you definitely get looks and comments from dodger fans that hate the Giants. Not negating the fact that NorCal probably does hate the dodgers but SoCal dodger fans do not like anything Giants related. To each their own.

I don't give a damn if the pitcher does that stuff. You have to remember that it's usually better to let sleeping dogs lie, but be prepared to pay the price once you wake them. Gabe Kapler is not a good manager. He showed that is Philly, he is showing that this season. Sure he had an incredible season last year, with a whole team that had pretty much career years at the same time. When it's gut check time, do you want Kapler managing the ship or would you rather have Doc, or almost anyone else?

I think it’s destiny for the Dodgers this year. It proves when you set egos aside the true part of the game comes alive. I played baseball all growing up and was really good at it, just made the wrong choices and lost my opportunity.
