Been listening to them a lot recently(never listened to them before) and I completely agree. They're much better than Smashing Pumpkins, Cranberries, The Shins, Nirvana, The Pixies or really any comparable band. They've got the best elements of the best indie bands. Incredible dynamics, drumming, guitars, singing, lyrics and overall creativity. There's nothing average, boring or generic about them. Every song I've heard by them is so well crafted and creative.
I just fully realized what this song means. It's the torture someone goes through when they believe they are going to be hurt by someone. When they have been hurt before and don't want to be hurt again. When they are expecting the person that they love to find a substitution for them, a replacement. The battle of the self, the negative inner voice, the feeling of being out of control. This song to me is about a person who fully expects to be hurt and let down. Such a good song, and so important that we have art like this to encapsulate such a specific emotion that a lot of people deal with.

However, there could only be one winner, and the girl in the violet dress displayed outstanding technique and an aggresive mentality when it came to taking the trophy home. In the aftermath of the show, she went into detail about how hard she had been practicing for this sports event and the physical hardache she experienced due to extreme training sessions. No doubt, you could tell through her performance the results of her training. I´m excited to see her advance in her career and represent America in the next international event, probably the Olympics.
