Just found out there was so much more to SSPU than Lazy Eye. I mean... Lazy Eye really is a perfect song, but! I am so enjoying finding these little gems in all of their music. I'm sad I didn't know of them when each album was released but it's really nice having so much of their body of work to binge on.
If you like Smashing Pumpkins, you will love Silversun Pickups. If you don't like Smashing Pumpkins, you will love Silversun Pickups - "Somewhere on the internet"
I will always love and appreciate them! Fuck genres and trends! They are amazing. Wish I saw them live more than once. They opened for muse so of course they made sure the sound quality was poor. I feel they could've easily outshined muse given the proper care and attention. I walked out after the 2nd muse song. Lights and effects are not music!!!!!!!
@@kevingerm8642 I haven't paid too much attention to them since Neck of the Woods. Has Nikki sung lead on any songs since? Loved that she got to lead on Pikul.
I love Brian & Nikki doing their music together. They are far more beautiful than they know & their music is beyond beautiful. Thank you Silversun Pickups for these type of concerts in addition to the full on productions with Joe & Christopher. I can't get enough of their music.
I love Nikki's stamina when shes playing the bass line for Panic Switch. She once played it solo for what seems like 3 minutes straight at the Norva in Norfolk, Virginia in 2010!
i always love to see a band show that they don't need a big production to prove how awesome their songs are, or for that matter, that they care about a big production. . great musicians, need more like them.
Face totally f'n melted. Easily the best live recording I have ever seen. The quality... on everything... so far beyond. You crushed it, set the bar. Totally speechless. GAH! Do those people in the bar even know???
I didn't realize it until now, but despite how long I've liked this band and have listened to their studio albums, I don't think I've ever given a listen to their live stuff. Shame on me. I especially like this acoustic stuff.
+Anthony Mcintyre Well he did not name any of Nirvana's albums. Given that, let's compare. Nikki eats Niko for breakfast as far as musicality goes. Brian's guitar skills will put Cobain's to shame anytime you hear the riff from Lazy Eye. Guanlao is just a beast, though he doesn't show up in this shows. Check MTV's Kissing Families performance and tell me that it cannot be compared to The Man Who Sold The World. Music evolve, and you don't have to call us hipsters because of it.
Suich complex songs. I played this one to my brother before he died and said I wished I had written it. He liked it. You can't get bored with them because they're always surprising.
Goodness, I'm usually against acoustic versions, but this was incredible. How in the hell has this band stayed primarily "under the radar" of the general public for this long? I've been listening since I was in high school. Graduated in '07. And this bad was a blip with Lazy Eye that I didn't really fall in love with until much, much later. Hands down one of the best acoustic sets I've personally witnessed.
I watch this session at least 4 times a year. I was supposed to see them in Nashville March 2020 until the pandemic hit. Still hope to see them one day soon
+Jimmi Reaza: One of my faves right now, as well. Brian is so talented, it's crazy. As soon as I hear a new song, I automatically love it. Only other bands that I can say did that to me is Rush, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters. Metric is good too.
OMG! I fell in love with Circadian Rhythm on acoustic!! They are amazing! I play this over and over ❤I hope that one day they release an unplugged album...
You'll notice there isnt a person below 40 years of age, KEXP is a big deal and that shit has some high rollers paying for this show. Its Seattle, middle of the day, those people are ballin
30:15 - So obviously two different bands and styles, BUT…. After Chester from LKN PARK left us, I was really bummed I would never again hear another vocalist with such beautiful loud screams of perfection. They’re not all gone my friends, this man is amazing when he cranks it up. Love how clear and satisfying his voice sounds at its peak. Love this band!
How can I express my love for this enough. I saw them in an in-store acoustic set at Record Theatre in Buffalo, NY when they released Better Nature. I found about the show something like the night before and rushed there the morning of to get one of the remaining 4 or some tickets left. It's too bad that that record store is closing down. I ran into Nikki on the way to the bathroom as she was coming out, and then conversed with Brian about Annie Clark and how nice she is via the St. Vincent t shirt I had on when they were signing posters at the end of the show. It was an intimate experience. They sound even better in person. Then I got my sisters to go with me to the music festival they were playing at in Rochester. We went there just for them and then left before Cage the Elephant came on. My sister got me really drunk and apparently I was yelling to "Free The Elephants" out the door as they came on stage. Sigh. Good times.
This performance on KEXP is much more powerful than their studio recordings. I've listened to this band for a first first time when I accidentally found this video. And I thought that this is an acoustic project. They really sond better unplugged. Of course it's a subjective opinion, but I keep watching this video on and on, now it's a third day I think since I've seen this for a first time. No words, they're amazing!
ok, so i liked these guys, but now after seeing how they are as ppl, awesome, fan for life...if they arent on Fearless Music, should beeeee, you walk away from this with a smile on your face, walking round all day humming these songs, what its all about
I LOVE THIS BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will never tire of Lazy Eye.
That song is sheer perfection especially the bass lines.
Timeless for me.

Just realizing how his voice is really that controlled and clear when live
Impressive with his playing, isn't it?
can't believe I found this jewel 7 yrs later.
9 years for me!
It pisses me off how talented and perfect they are. They should be the biggest band in the world.
Agwee
They're amazing live!
@@diamaorozcoyes, I’ve seen them twice this past year and they always rock. Can’t wait till they come back to southern California.

Nope Notgoingtohappen Best live acoustic for surr
Nope Not going to happen
man these guys were BIG in 2010 and for a good reason. But in time this genre decreased popularity. Still quality material there!
Agreed 💯
I will always love and appreciate them! Fuck genres and trends! They are amazing. Wish I saw them live more than once. They opened for muse so of course they made sure the sound quality was poor. He has a good live voice.
this music never gets old, sounds perfect even unplugged, definitely they deserve more recognition!
wow ! this version of lazy eye is really the best i ever heard.

+Brandon Jameson Music same
great show and then some
Everyone's talking about Brian (and with good reason) but Nikki was really in top form here too. It's almost strange to hear her sing with such power.
She sounded unreal on Latchkey Kids
Nikki’s incredible with her bass playing and her voice…and she’s hot, too!
@@kevingerm8642 I haven't paid too much attention to them since Neck of the Woods. Has Nikki sung lead on any songs since? Loved that she got to lead on Pikul.
This should be a top comment.
This is one of the greatest rock performances of all time to me.. SSPU are amazing. KEPX is sun shine.
Ill never forget this performance. Not that I was there, I just saw it for the first time in 2016. I come back regularly. It is amazing
One word …. Khruangbin
Thought that you we're exaggerating. Watched video... you were not exaggerating.

Nobody does a whisper to a scream, then back to a whisper better than Silversun Pickups....
I love Brian & Nikki doing their music together. They are far more beautiful than they know & their music is beyond beautiful. Thank you Silversun Pickups for these type of concerts in addition to the full on productions with Joe & Christopher. I can't get enough of their music.
This version of Circadian Rhythm is PERFECT. Amazing.
Still one of my favorite KEXP performances ever
"Lazy Eye" is one bad ass mother f'n jam
heard that..
Dude I love the music video for
It too.
this performance is AWESOME and should be released as an LP
At ~32:55... Where he gives a wink and then literally adjusts his Lazy Eye look to the camera. Love it. Love you, Silversun. So awesome.
this is one of my top 5 bands of all times
Mars Volta They also rank in my top five. With Metallica, Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, and Incubus.
Zeppelin, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Killers. But they are defínetely in my first 10s
@Whatsinaname Mars Volta Mars Volta At the Drive In and Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, SSPU, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam for me
I love Nikki's stamina when shes playing the bass line for Panic Switch. She once played it solo for what seems like 3 minutes straight at the Norva in Norfolk, Virginia in 2010!
Silversuns, never disappoint..................................
It's the mark of a great band when they sound even better live like this.
This is a wholly underexposed band who I can find has no bad songs. An arm's length concert with these guys would be incredibly dope!

I'd be over the moon to have been there!
Holy shit they have so much renewed energy and charisma in this performance. Both of their voices sound better than ever.
i always love to see a band show that they don't need a big production to prove how awesome their songs are, or for that matter, that they care about a big production. . great musicians, need more like them.
89.3 The Current played this and we LOOOOOOOVed it. we love SSPU. and we are almost 50. How cool is that?
I have watched/listened to this more times that I can count!
Everything about this is rock and roll perfection
26:08 shivers when Nikki snaps to singing “latchkey kids” after humming
Face totally f'n melted. Easily the best live recording I have ever seen. The quality... on everything... so far beyond. You crushed it, set the bar. Totally speechless. GAH! Do those people in the bar even know???
17:15 acoustic bass goodness.
a new gem I got to know thanks to kexp
By far one of my favorite bands, and this session shows why. They are amazing.
I've watched this like ten times now
I didn't realize it until now, but despite how long I've liked this band and have listened to their studio albums, I don't think I've ever given a listen to their live stuff. Shame on me. I especially like this acoustic stuff.
+Cedar Sun SSPU acoustic is almost on par with nirvana acoustic. It's that good.
+Cedar Sun I've been to everyone of their concerts anywhere near me- absolutely worth it
+David Heras I finally went to see them a couple weeks ago actually, and they were pretty amazing! sounded great live
+Joey Estacado Are you death? This predictable music is equal to one of the most iconic albums from one of the most iconic bands. HIPSTERS NOWADAYS...
+Anthony Mcintyre Well he did not name any of Nirvana's albums. Given that, let's compare. Nikki eats Niko for breakfast as far as musicality goes. Brian's voice is in mint condition DX I wasn't ready... The Nightlight belts, the harmonies. My edges have vanished.
I freaking love that rendition of it!!
That was an incredible performance. Very cool..very cool indeed!
Saw them last night in Boulder Colorado on 4/20😂, they are so good live
One of the best bands around.
One of the best bands of our time.
Goodness, I'm usually against acoustic versions, but this was incredible. How in the hell has this band stayed primarily "under the radar" of the general public for this long? The harmonies on Circadian rythem are amazing!
This might be my favorite video on TH-cam; maybe even the whole internet who knows!
I will never ever ever tire of these guys!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, that stripped down version of Lazy Eye just blew me away!
I watch this session at least 4 times a year. I was supposed to see them in Nashville March 2020 until the pandemic hit. Still hope to see them one day soon
Did you get to see them yet!?!?
Yo Brian was doing improv comedy bits while also playing and singing flawlessly.
There is nothing I wouldn't give to hear this live... I love you SSPU, I hope you visit this video in the future... You mean everything to me
one of my favorite bands. Went to go see them at the Red Bull Soundstage and they where amazing!

There is a bootleg unplugged album which is only 7 songs and it very great album in great quality.

These guys have a real 90s vibe that I really dig.
All Achievements become unlocked at Lazy Eye ...True guitar heroes

Great performance... I love Brian's expressive vocals and Nikki's calmness :-) Awesome as always

I have always loved bands with man and woman on vocals, their voices are a perfect match, you can feel the emotion in their songs.
30:15 - So obviously two different bands and styles, BUT…. Their songs are wonderful in acoustic version too. Great musicians and singers. ❤❤❤❤
You guys are the absolute coolest!
Such a great performance
A Tyson joke and a Back to the Future reference. Best band ever.
Love this band.
this tied for personal favorite acoustic performance. horse the band's arrive is amazing but this makes up for it with a whole set.
my favourite one, as well. just plain awesome.
The new songs are great!
Always loved these guys! Saw them LIVE at the first Riptide Festival in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Incredible show!!!

Watch the video lists. A keeper.
amazing chemistry between them ! they were in their element here!
My God I like this performance!
She is magnificent. Great feel.
So good. What a great band and what a cool performance. There needs to be more daytime bar shows like this.
Excited to see them in Albany NY this March!
Jeez. Ive akways liked SSPUs but this is actually good. Like really good. Wish they'd come to Indianapolis so I can drive in to see them.
21:43 = PERFECT timing!!
