Whether intentional or not, it felt like a tactic to steer the narrative and make himself seem more composed or eloquent while shifting focus. It’s also wild how Casey prefaces everything with long, drawn out setups that don’t really go anywhere concrete. He’s saying a lot, but at the same time nothing... it’s all just fluff with no substance. There were a few moments where Casey subtly tries to pre-frame Jeff as being combative or cutting him off-like when he said, 'Jeff, you didn’t let me finish,' 'Oh, you’re still on the Kool-Aid,' or 'We’re off topic now' (even though Casey was the one who brought it there LOL). Whether intentional or not, it felt like a tactic to steer the narrative and make himself seem more composed or eloquent while shifting focus.
It’s also wild how Casey prefaces everything with long, drawn out setups that don’t really go anywhere concrete. He’s saying a lot, but at the same time nothing... it’s all just fluff with no substance. He sympathizes with David, likely because he views himself as a similar “icon” or “star.” Earlier in the podcast, he even refers to David as a star-right after being praised as a pioneer and the best vlogger TH-cam has ever seen. The irony is hard to ignore.
