My gnome arcane trickster is going to take that at 4th level. We're nearing the big boss of the dungeon we're in so hopefully that 4th level happens soon! I can't wait to use that! Constantly using Mage Hand to take enemy items during battle. Adding reaction based invisibility to my bag of tricks? Oh yes please!
I had a thought about a gnome running mirror image that got hit. He would fade away, but the Mirrors would stay up (if un-hit), but the gnome would become invisible. Enemy casters, or others, familiar with mirror image might believe they had simply destroyed a mirror and that one of the remaining must be the real one. The gnome would then get his next attack with advantage.
I came up with the same thought when it came to Gnome Rogue. It'd be useful against anything without Blindvision or Detect Thoughts or some other means of tracking.
Probably not the best thing, but I just thought it would be hilarious to have a gnome barbarian charge into battle, use Fade Away to go invisible, and the surprise someone with a giant war hammer or something to the face. Defiantly would be Role Play build over a MinMax’d power-gamer build but still funny.
It says when you take damage. So, theoretically, couldn't someone take their own dagger stab themselves for 1 point and become invisible and sneak past someone
@@ChancesSpellbook Well if one of my friends loses a character I'll recommend it. If I lose my cleric I'm going Firbolg rogue, kinda want to see how that combo plays out
It’s possible a gnome barbarian could do a fun one trick per encounter because it’s not spell casting and the flavour of a barbarian taking damage smiling then being invisible is both scary and funny even for one use
I am going to take this, so thus far, I've only theory crafted it. It seems to me that the biggest issue for my character will be that it is a reaction, I might (probably) already have sued my reaction for shield or absorb elements. We'll see, and I will report back.

Haha that sounds amazing! Please let us know how it plays out!!
@@ChancesSpellbook Our gaming schedule is all goobered right now with life and it's shenanigans. But I absolutely will!
@@reggieisaac6909 I appreciate it!

I agree! I only wish you could use it once per encounter 😢
As a wizard it's perfect for getting away from the frontlines quickly without promoting attacks of oppurtunity.

If you did that in one of my games, I'd certainly give you inspiration for it haha

Theoretically that would be correct!
Hmm if one of my friends loses their pc I'll mention this. Although I bet we would have to ask our awesome DM.
@@TheEmerald97 It's definitely one of the more interesting racial feats in the game, and worth considering.

@@TheEmerald97 I get it! The Firbolg Rogue sounds very interesting as well
Thanks so much for these videos!!

Support gnome. Don't damage or force saving throws.
Druid or Cleric gnome.

I'm looking forward to it!
pray to a god of trickery and become the ultimate trickery domain cleric!
lmao
Haha I could totally see that!
It would fix it if you could do it once per prof in my opinion
Meh there’s other ways to become invisible like one with shadows or maybe misty step teleportation would be better
I agree haha!
