Black opal true color creme stick is the best full coverage drugstore foundation for me...it truly is full coverage and they have a great range for WOC. My color is Nutmeg and I wear NC50 in Studio fix fluid so that color would probably work for you too. And it’s only like $9!!

Ms. Mommie To be honest I don’t think we have our perfect shade in either foundation. Cuz although I got Macao, I think it’s a tad bit too light/yellow on me too but decided to go with that one cuz Belem was too grey/ashy on me. I rather be yellow than grey & ashy. And I picked 420 in Fenty cuz everyone that I’m a perfect match with went with that one. But again I don’t think that’s my perfect shade cuz 430 looks ok on me but a tad bit too orange. So I think my perfect shade is between 420 & 430 🤦🏽♀️
Honey Barbie WOW I just switched to 430 in Fenty as well. 420 I can get away with but all over my face I thought it was just a smidge too light/yellow. 430 is a bit darker than me and more red. I think if I mixed both I'd have my perfect shade. Or as you said a color in between them. The foundation struggle is real. 😩 As far as NARS I give up.
Try the shade down in Marquises for the Nars radiant foundation that’s the one I use. Macao is slightly too yellow for me. I wear the Lancôme in 500 and I loooove it.

I am NC50 in the Studio Fix Fluid I love it, but it's to oily for my skin. I also use to wear the Lancome in 500 Sude was actually my go to until I started using Estee Lauder. Will definitely try Nars, Fenty Beauty, and Bobbi Brown.

I used to wear NC50 in the MAC mineralize liquid, which is now discontinued. The Fenty Beauty foundation is too matte for me too. It's been tough finding the right formulation, because I don't need full coverage.
Megz, you always have me LMBO 😂 I am soooo bad at matching myself with foundations; I mostly only get high end foundations because I can get samples of shades I think I am and then test before I spend the money but I do have DS foundations too I just don’t go crazy with them because “most” of the time the shades and undertones are not that good BUT they have gotten better especially Maybelline which by the way the Matte&Poreless foundation is a DS Fav.

Cover Fx Click Stick Foundation/ Concealer Color N100 ( I purchased this on sale, the color is okay I wish I would have gotten on with a more golden undertone) Wear is 👌🏾 but you must set 3. Jlarue Cosmetics Color Queen ( not high end but it is female BOMB and it’s 22.00 she is on Instagram) good color match but it must be set with powder if you are oily. Wear👌🏾 Sample Liquid Foundation (I do not know the wear) 1. Mac Studio Fix Color NW47 ( perfect match, more medium to full coverage) I like the finish, but it is thicker than the Fenty 2. Right now I wear Lancome 530 (my only foundation currently and is Medium-Full coverage for me with like a satiny matte finish) and just ordered the Fenty 430. I've also been matched to the new NARS one in New Caledonia which I went in-store tonight and bought- total last minute impulse buy! LOL I will play more with my sample of the NARS before I open up the bottle. Lately I've been wanting options with my foundation because of the strange weather not making up its mind, my face has been a lot drier than its usual oily self lol I actually HAVE to moisturize now before I put on my primer and foundation otherwise I look a dry, crusty mess with my fine lines showing up! LOL So that's why I'm giving the Fenty and NARS a try as they are supposed to be more "natural" looking.

I'm an nc50 too and I've been using the mac prolongwear since I was in high school. Im super picky about foundation and Now I'm getting to the point where I want something more dewy and not so matte so it's taking me while to find something
Thank you for sharing this. I use black opal pore defining foundation and the flawless foundation. It's light weighted too and you can built it up. Since I have an oily t-zone finding the right primer is still a struggle however I add baby powder first on my large pores and that really helps help mattyfing

Megan in the Nars radiant long wear foundation we are know longer Macao we are now in the shade marquises... Get a sample of it and try it out that should fix that slight off set of the color...
Lancôme is my one! It will always and forever be Bae for me. No matter what I try, I always come back to Lancôme. But I'm a dry girl so I'm always looking for Radiance or skin like finishes. Go to your local Beauty Supply which is for us African American women ask for kiss BB cream that have three Shades I have tried the drugstore Shades and they never matches where they make me look to read or to Yellow but the kiss BB cream works perfectly when I'm on the go I'm trying to be on fleek
I think the biggest thing I struggle with is, my foundation is either too yellow or it's too red (or turns redish, dark brown/orange at the end of the day). I like using translucent powder to set it, but overtime that also gives a white cast. So I can't win. LOL anyone have advice?
Me and you seem to wear the same colors in foundation and have the same undertones. NARS new guinea may work for you because it works better than Macao for me

I use bellem in the NARS natural radiant, macao was a tad too light and yellow. I’m also 420 in Fenty.

Lancôme is my one! It will always and forever be Bae for me. No matter what I try, I always come back to Lancôme. But I'm a dry girl so I'm always looking for Radiance or skin like finishes. So if you wanna slide that Nars Radiant in Macao my way I can take that of your hands and cheat on Bae 😜😘😁 MAC was my first love too but I started getting more and more sensitive skin and had to leave their foundation alone. Go to your local Beauty Supply which is for us African American women ask for kiss BB cream that have three Shades I have tried the drugstore Shades and they never matches where they make me look to read or to Yellow but the kiss BB cream works perfectly when I'm on the go I'm trying to be on fleek

I think the biggest thing I struggle with is, my foundation is either too yellow or it's too red (or turns redish, dark brown/orange at the end of the day). I like using translucent powder to set it, but overtime that also gives a white cast. So I can't win. LOL anyone have advice?
