"Wow, as a Eurovision enthusiast, I have to say that the Netherlands really knocked it out of the park with this song! The melody is catchy, the lyrics are heartfelt, and the performance is simply mesmerizing. It's no wonder this song is generating so much buzz. Go Netherlands! 🇳🇱🎶 #Eurovision"
Absolutely agree! The Netherlands truly delivered a stunning performance. The song's melody and lyrics are captivating, and the overall performance is mesmerizing. It's exciting to see such talent showcased on the Eurovision stage. Go Netherlands! 🇳🇱🎶 #Eurovision
The lad is very likable, the song kinda holds me back a bit in a way but eventually I can't resist to this genuine wave of pure nostalgia. This sound takes me straight back to my teens, makes me dance and smile and in the end.. it leaves me with warmth and tears. Yes, tears. I didn't cry with all your previous melancholic songs (only with Grow of 2020
Eurovision is an emotional affair for Joost. As a child, he watched it together with his parents. "Parents, one day I'm going to be on Eurovision stage" and he made it. Unfortunately, his parents died when he was a child. This song is dedicated to his late father. That's why it's called EUROPAPA. The part in the song “I'm in Germany, but I'm so alone. I'm in Italy, but I still feel the pain, etc.", I feel it's directed at his parents... Joost loved his parents and still does. His lyrics are mostly very deep, but the melody is happy, danceable and the clips of his song are presented in a fun way. Joost himself said that his musical style is diverse. When Joost was asked what song they should listen to in order to understand you. He answered Florida 2009 (it's about his parents) and Wachtmuziek (it's about mental health). I recommend listening to them. You have to translate it, because he sings in Dutch.
Roy, good luck to the Netherlands! This song is great. It will receive a lot of votes from the public. If the singer looked less excentric, he could even win
Hoi Roy!! Gabber and Happy hardcore United on the ESC stage and very well excecuted. FINALLY! Very happy old proud gabber here. Op hun klompen door naar de finale. Joost denkt Groot!
I had such low expectations for this entry…however in 3 mins 20 seconds it made me smile, laugh and cry…In the words of the great Roy PM; “What is this!”.
At first listen I was very interested but slightly underwhelmed, at second listen I noticed the lyrics specifically, and fell absolutely in love with the song😅 Probably the best song our country has sent since... wel, S10, but like you get what I mean, it's amazing! (imo) Like, I've just got Euro-pa-pa-pa-papa-papa in my head ever since I listened to it for the second time😂
Hey Roy! Your advantage: You understood the lyrics! I will have to check them out later. But general Eurovision watchers will not have this luxury and depend on the quality of their commentators. Nevertheless it is another indication for my earlier impression: Europe 2024 wants to have fun and wants to dance! For my personal taste the beat is partially too upfront, but I liked the fun approach - AND that it is in Dutch. So well done Netherlands and good luck! 😘
This and De Diepte are the kinds of authentic things the Netherlands should be sending each year...NOT Duncan Lawrence or the two last year...this really represents the Dutch I feel! I would be proud if I were you Roy!
Yeah well I think Duncan was very much the right choice to send, the quality of the song far outmatched the argument that the song is inauthentic. But yeah last year was a bit worrying as it was kind of starting to look like we'd keep on sending pop. However I agree that we should be sending more of this sort of Dutch stuff, I'm curious to see how some typical Dutch pop would hold in Eurovision. We've sent a lot of pop, sure, but I can't really remember the last time we sent something with truely Dutch pop vibes. Artists like FLEMMING and Snelle. Anyways apologies for throwing this infobomb😅

OH YEASS!!! I was wondering, will Eurovision be left out of this re-newed 90's carpet-tapping beat (an Estonian expression from the 90's btw). I'm happy I was wrong! 😁 That's my childhood's POP music BEAT and I'm more than thrilled about your song! So - GOOO Nederland! 🥳🤘 In Estonia we still call and name you Holland, btw 😅 Ok, Lithuania is bringing some old-school beat as well (Finland also a bit?), but they're different. Your song is more classical BEAT! And I hope you'll reach high in the Final! 🥳And the hardstyle beat at the end is the cherry on top of the song! 🤩 This kind of beat is obviously the THING this year (and we also tried with Cecilia, no luck this time. Imho, the vocals were a bit too weak). But let's make a re-vamp with KEiiNO's singer Alexandra and we wouldn't be talking about 5Miinust & Puuluup as a winner 😁
That's not what I was saying. I compare this, Switzerland and Cyprus because they were released on the same day, not for musical similarities. Even when I think that all 3 suck. One more, one less.
@@Bundeskaiser wow I feel completely incapable of any connection to the universe where the Swiss entry sucks. For me it's an impressively superb suggestion! Which entries are you liking so far?
@@Crowleas Not many. I think we had a lot of strong preselections but many times the wrong song got picked. I like France, Slovenia, Croatia (but it sucked live), Lithuania and Belgium.

My mom likes it. That says something, because she doesn't like much of the "current" music. Haha.
