It also destroys badly the morale, which I think is one side effect thats greatly appreciated by employers, as low morale candidates are more likely to accept less great conditions than they would've.
I was actually thinking exactly this... maybe that is why I only typically hear women complaining openly about it, because men are used to this treatment lol.
These same companies will expect candidates to fill out the contents of their resume in lengthy forms and write thoughtful cover letters. How many hours are being wasted applying to these?
So a few things. The reason why it isn't false advertising is because you are not paying for something. If you were purchasing time for an interview with tangible money, then yeah, you could argue false advertising if you had proof that there was never an intention to hire. The other issue, even if this could fall under false advertising, companies could just play dumb. It is the same shit they do when intentionally not hiring white males for DEI, but not stating it anywhere, they have plausible deniability even though it is wrong. I can also attest to the state of the job market. I was laid off (job exported to India) for about 4 months / 18 weeks, and was putting out about 7-12 application a day every day except weekends (because no new postings). That is 630 - 1080 applications. I even started cold calling companies in my area who didn't have job postings sharing my resume and asking about possible jobs. I had about 3 promising prospects, 5 possible prospect, 3 that I refused to participate in (I refuse to do any sort of tests or sending videos... like gross) and 2 scam interviews. I was also over qualified for most of what I was applying for and willing to take up to a 15K salary cut. My experience is also extremely diverse compared to everyone else in my industry. I am literally a "unicorn candidate". Even with my qualification and even offering an extremely discounted rate, I was only bating about 1% success. I can't imagine how hard it is for those who don't have a lot of experience to work with.
Yep, getting rid of trade certifications in high schools has set the last two generations up for failure. Also the inequity of the quality of education in poor neighborhoods is appalling.
government don't punish fake job posting because it fits the narrative. It makes the economy and job market seem strong.
Also its election year which makes it worse
I remember going to a job fair in college, they just said to apply online. Really made me wonder what the point of it was.
Yeah back in my day, people could get hired at job fairs. That was a while ago though
HR needs to keep their hands moving
If they are going to make a bunch of ghost jobs I'm going to apply to hundreds of them as a ghost employee
Lolol go for it

Well it's like dating. Most are either already taken or still talking to their ex (they'll still flirt with you all day though)
Yup, they are actually posting some
of these applications to test the waters
or they just want free dinner
I was actually thinking exactly this... maybe that is why I only typically hear women complaining openly about it, because men are used to this treatment lol.
After 8 months of 30 applications per week I finally got ONE employer to reply to me with an interview.
Yeah its insane rn

Yep should be illegal
I am not interrupt that guy: As he interrupts that guy....🤣

@@thecorbreport I am responsible for this as well.

unskilled labor is doing a number too, terrible education as well. no wonder cheap labor is being brought in.
In Schools they train the future slaves. They don't teach about money or law. The two most important! LOL

Oooo Corb. You're so cute. Your channel is gonna do well.
I’m flattered lol. Thanks for the encouragement :)
Government jobs count for the GDP formula
@@soonahero correct, but they don’t assist in building up an economy. Corporations hire, pay taxes, and build widgets. The government doesn’t.
